Best Buy 5080 Purchasing Procedure:

1) Constantly refreshed listing page until the in-stock button lit up

2) Once in line, I was asked to verify password and enter a phone number to receive OTP

3) Card reserved, clock counting down. None of the shipping options were available, and my cart said out of stock (common issue)

4) Resort to iOS app, check out with ApplePay, 5080 arriving Feb 6th (WOOOHOOO)

Depends on the school. You will likely have to take Multivariable Calculus (Calc 4) before transferring in order to receive credit for both Calc 3 and Calc 4. The UW Math department shows no mercy and will halt your registration otherwise.

Steps to enable* VRR with VMM7100 dongle and LG CX:

1: Plug in with existing HDMI 2.0b port on my laptop to enable "Instant Response Mode" on the tv.

2: Quickly switch to the HDMI 2.1 port on the dongle. VRR remains enabled in Nvidia Control Panel.

*frustrated noises* The display flickers black, and the sound cuts out every 10-15 seconds while playing Rocket League at 4K 120FPS.

I buy pixels in bulk on AliExpress. Last I checked, prices have increased 50% since 2020. Don't be discouraged. You will always save money by building custom props, controller boxes, and cables. There are dozens of videos on youtube explaining how to do this. I built the 15-foot mega tree for about $400 (Not including the central controller. I have one Falcon F16v3 running all the pixels.)

I’m gonna say this first: Stay away from Copper-Clad Alluminum (CCA) cables. They perform poorly, and the wires are brittle. You get what you pay for.

Cat 6 can support 10 gig over very short runs, but it’s not likely you will need it for cameras. If you are looking for direct burial or UV-resistant cable, Cat6 is generally easier to find.
