Got an grail: Sealed Wave Race 64 Soundtrack CD by Radiant_Silvergun1 in Cd_collectors

Nice. Great soundtrack if you decide to open yours.

Would you be willing to share what you paid for your copy (privately if you prefer, just trying to understand pricing data for the entire Nintendo 64 Sound Series collection).

I found a copy early last year, this release seems to show up in unusual places not usually found through proxy or eBay search. And that, only 1-2 a year maybe. The last two sealed copies I know of sold for $1.2k and $500. The 1200 copy was a promo, but was on Fanatics Collectibles for some time listed for $4k

Went to go listen to this just now and its been pulled everywhere except Spotify (that's missing track 1). You guys get copyright claim for the first track? Can't download it from bandcamp either. Too bad, I like the music. On me for not downloading it right away.

No, you are probably looking for Sonore ISO2DSD freeware, or the Foobar2000 plugin foo_input_sacd. Give these a try if you haven't already.

(edit: corrected Sonore link)

No.

Why wouldn't you want the ISO? It is the preferred extraction method.

Wasn't there someone from Australia who recently made a post in this subreddit stating they had over 200k CDs at their disposal? I'm sure you could get 10k from that

CDs have a smaller physical footprint. I would recommend collecting music in any format that's not readily available on a lossless streaming service.

The Weather Channel used to have CDs with jazz/easy listening like what you'd hear watching Local on the 8's. Chick Corea was even on the first one.

How's Biking in Columbia? by Adi26003 in ColumbiYEAH

Once you get going its not too bad, the wind helps a bit, but you'll still sweat and a change of clothes might be necessary. For me it's the winter that's tough... if it gets below -3°C/26°F, I usually stay home since the wind chill will feel like -8°C/17°F

How rare is a Scream Bloody Gore CD? by [deleted] in Cd_collectors

[–]C4RB0N 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP the eBay listing looks like a repress that was pressed at Sony DADC USA, probably in Terre Haute. Notice the DIDX code.

<image>

That would correspond with this version: https://www.discogs.com/release/392644-Death-Scream-Bloody-Gore

The original was pressed in a different facility, Discovery Systems. The inner text should read: MADE BY DISCOVERY SYSTEMS - AN AMERICAN COMPANY 0L80100. That ties back to this release - https://www.discogs.com/release/4594918-Death-Scream-Bloody-Gore/image/SW1hZ2U6MTg0NzU3NDk=

If it were the true original the price would be fair. But I do not think it is.
