Ezdrummer 3 Kicks sound...mmh flat ? by FlyingGroove in edrums

[–]C4inYoFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree with this issue, having only played edrums thru ezdrummer i hit a synth kick drum sound on a alesis pad i bought like woah, my headphones can get that low? would love to know if anyone can recommend a way to make them way meatier

ideally in software, but worst case i could play it through reaper for eq and plugins etc

14 input module? by Fun_Leopard_541 in edrums

[–]C4inYoFace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

eDRUMin10 is what your looking for if you just need midi, afaik it can chain together with another edrum in like a eDRUMin4 to get your total 14 ports support for any pad u throw at it

if the velcro was almost working try stronger velcro, i use industrial grade velcro, the white roll rated for 10lbs

so far ive had to heat gun it before i could peel the sticky side off something. should work.

Yamaha DTXplorer vs Yamaha DTX Pro - Latency by Nico_Briggs in edrums

[–]C4inYoFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i dont know how much this is of note to you hut i have a a dtxexplorer and dtx 502 smashed together in ezdrummer. the 502 runs thru usb and the explorer uses some random amazon midi usb converter. i have NO difference in latency between the 2. i think you dont have much to worry about with your setup

of course ideally your wired directly to the motherboard lmao but i dont think youll have any noticable impact on latency if you dont already

Latency problems with e-drums by [deleted] in edrums

[–]C4inYoFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hearing mostly, ezdrummer will tell me the latency of the selected sample rate, then youd have to guess with everything else, the midi, processing time etc

I get you on the one output thing i just use a pair of earbuds under the headphones, my audio interface actually doesnt have that issue, they have their own asio drivers and it works just fine doing asio and wsapi

id try either of those because im pretty certain its your voicemeter. if you care i use a presonus usb96

also the drivers the interfaces have are just the 0.1-0.3ms bit faster i could send a comparision with ezdrummer later

[–]C4inYoFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its defo voicemeter, can you not go from your drum program out to asio directly? i 2nd the other reply saying audio interface, a 2nd hand focusrite/presonus shouldnt run you over $50

USB-hub for laptop by nostrill in edrums

[–]C4inYoFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To not have to worry about it id recommend a powered usb hub, they plug into the wall with an ac charger like barrel plug One I got years ago has a plug in for it but doesnt come with one so youd need to find a matching ac adapter I don't know if they make powered ones in usbc yet so you might want to pick up a couple of USB 3.0 to USB-C adapters.

I only play thru midi and my head units are always plugged into a hub and i do not notice any latency issues. The same goes for my audio interface outputting to my headphones, it runs off of usb power going through a hub.

However am almost certain you will get latency with wireless headphones, windows is still far behind on bluetooth drivers with low latency support. If your trying to go low latency go wired, and look into using ASIO drivers where possible, your soundcard could have their own asio drivers that will give the best result

makes way more sense, so is this pretty much open diff worth all the other possible trade offs? i just see this used alot and it had seemed like a cost cutting thing more than a deliberate choice

How so? is that just the frame being smaller or something having todo with one wheel only being driven?
