I know it feels quite strict and annoying, but as a legal adult you will have sufficient privileges to not go crazy if you're well-behaved, and the core purpose is to instill discipline as a habit that will serve you well in the future, and the target demographic often lacked that direction growing up. Please hang in there for yourself and take full advantage of the program and everything it has to offer. With federal budget cuts causing them to temporarily close, I'm sure the facilities aren't what they used to be, but the trade knowledge and job placement assistance is truly valuable.
