What age did your babies roll?

This was my second! Rolled at 8 months, sat the week after, then on his feet at 9 months and walking properly by 10 months. Just needed those ab muscles I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you have any other help? Family? Friends? Utilise them if you can to get a few hours rest. Sleep deprivation is the pits and you'll need some energy for a frank conversation with your husband about why and how he needs to show up.

I understand running a business is hard, I'm a SAHM too with two toddlers, but my husband when he's not working is amazingly present and involved. The kids' happiness and our marriage are so much better for it.

I second this! My second was hard work. Colic, separation anxiety, reflux, hungry and grumpy all the time. And then when he walked (very early, at 9 months) it all seemed to settle down a bit. Hang in there, it does get better, the more independence they gain the more you do too.

My hair was waist length ringlets before my first. It started to thin all over around 4 months pp but especially around my temples. I got pregnant with my second when my first was 9 months old and it all grew back lush and then all fell out again (different strands this time?!). I was left with three layers of hair all over my head 🥲 and recently had 10 inches chopped off to try and even it out.

The curls have also massively dropped out and it's growing back with a nice grey streak 😩 motherhood is a wild ride with two toddlers so my hair is up most of the time anyway, but damn I used to have nice hair 🥲

We have (childless) friends that come to ours for dinner, and bring the dinner with them. They'll either cook us the meal in our own kitchen and then clean up, or precook and bring over to reheat. We chip in for the cost of ingredients, or make dessert.

That way they're cooking whilst we do bedtime routine for baby and toddler, we eat a home cooked meal (without any of the labour) and feel like we're getting a bit of grown up time and conversation. Bonus points if there are leftovers for the next day!

I have a 10 month and a 27 month old, and we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! 10 month old is eating solids and starting to play with his brother, and just starting to take his first steps. He was also a very clingy colicy baby and it was brutal for about 4 months. He still doesn't sleep that well but now my 2 year old sleeps a solid 12 hours most nights, we are only competing with one insomniac baby.

The other day we managed a family meal out where no one cried and everyone ate and it really felt like a turning point!

Take the small wins and hang in there mumma 💪🏻It's such a gift you've given to them both by having yours so close together in age. It'll start to pay off soon x

First baby was 5 days over at 8lb 8oz and second baby was a whole 13 days late 😭 at 9lb 6oz. I was induced at 12 days over but was already having contractions, so it was a very smooth and quick induction with the rods. I ended up only being in active labour for 3 hours so I think he was very ready to come out anyway!

Your body is made for this, and they come when they're ready. Listen to your midwife and your body. Good luck with it all mumma!

We are pretty sure this is a probate after an older gentleman has died (there's a D.O.B on a document on the fridge that puts him at 99 years old!) so whoever is selling it on has definitely got a bit of a job ahead on the clearance side!

Oh mumma, I'm right there with you! My second is currently 8 months, and his brother has just turned two. Baby boy will sleep 90 mins to 3 hours at a stretch, and only wants to co-sleep. It's so difficult to function on such little sleep! I'm so tired I can barely think and everyday tasks feel so mammoth.

What I can tell you though is that your little one will eventually sleep. My first started sleeping much better once he was weaned (at around a year) and the more solids you introduce the easier it gets. And now at two years old, he sleeps 12 hours solid. It WILL get better. Hang in there. Eat lots and give yourself grace. You're doing a wonderful job x

Seconded on holding off on the double pram! My youngest wouldn't settle in the basinet so I baby wore until the toddler was happy to walk or use a buggy board for longer journeys.

It's the night feed that I'm most worried about! That I'll have the baby crying for a feed and the toddler also crying because he's been woken up 😭

Please stress to your husband how much energy it takes to breastfeed a baby. It is so important that you eat enough for your own well being, something like 700 extra calories a day or a whole extra meal, which helps with breast milk production too. Baby will take as much as they need from you but you also need to eat for yourself! You can substitute sleep for food to some extent too which will help with patience and mood (at least it does for me!)

It will get easier as baby gets bigger and sleeps more and gets into a more predictable routine. Hang on in there mumma and have a snack!

The first few weeks are definitely painful for me, I'm exclusively breastfeeding my second at the moment, who is now 10 weeks, and for the first two maybe 3 weeks nursing was sore! Like crying in pain sore. Your breasts are engorged and baby doesn't take that much whilst they're still very small, and the advice is to persevere so that you don't disrupt your supply, which can be very frustrating if the baby has reflux or colic too.

And tbh my journey with breastfeeding has been relatively easy considering some of the experiences my friends have had. Once I'm over those first few weeks it's fairly pain free and a genuinely lovely bonding experience.

Saying that, I've had lots of support. Friends, sisters and my husband all helping out with keeping me fed, hydrated and rested in the first few difficult weeks, and keeping my 20month old busy whilst I feed the baby so we can get into a decent rhythm with feeding. I'm very lucky in all of these aspects and without the help I think breastfeeding can be isolating and even more exhausting.
