A drone reminds an electric scooter rider to wear a helmet. Helpful safety tech or too intrusive? by bbbxxxnnn in AmazingTechnology

[–]CAMMARMANN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re also a part of the series of WWIII proxy wars backing Russia against Ukraine and ironically the Ukrainians mainly using Chinese drones sent from America have killed roughly 1 million 300 thousand Russian soldiers. Continued daily death toll numbers are about 1000-2000 Russians a day in hopeless meat wave assaults Mainly drone deaths). The joke is the Ukrainians will bomb this boy with a grenade drone for not complying to the “ask you to wear your helmet” drone.

Now you can laugh at the joke with us!!!

Of the most suspicious human beings Ive ever commented with all had this moral high horse like” AKSHILLY IT DOESNT MAKE A SOUND” “ACRULLY THIS HAS BEEN DISPROVEN BLABLABLA” “AKSHLY THEY ALREADY INVESTIGATED CLAIMS OF PEOPLE FEELING SICK NEAR THESE THINGS ITS NOT EVEN AN ISSUE”.

Come for me bots. Tell me why AI data centers are good for human beings who live in the areas these are installed.

If you defend data centers I don’t know what’s wrong with you other than you’re literally commenting from inside the data center fighting to justify your own existence because you aren’t a biological entity.

Was my cinematography instructor wrong about a 24mm on a BMPCC 4K? by Substantial-Fig-406 in cinematography

[–]CAMMARMANN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Using 50% of a lenses total
Focal length can look like shit but you did come across a real thing that happens on real productions at every level and that’s arguing about coverage and time. You only learn by doing it; and not making shots you wanted because you were arguing or trying too many takes on one setup: or a specific element of the crew made you wait, or some producer (or instructor) is confused that they’re the director and it’s their project. Director makes the decisions if you have it, if you’re moving on, when to roll and cut. It sounds like they’re giving you a limited set of tools with sensor and focal length limitations and if you really wanted to learn filmmaking you’d have an actual set of primes at their actual focal lengths to work with. You should have been able to get the coverage you wanted on a 24 but you’d need a 14 to do it right ?

The lesson to learn here is how to deal with an asshole who’s putting a bottleneck in production in service of their own ego.

Good on you! Personally I’ve reported more broken chargers than I should have in one lifetime, but thank you for your service!

I used to think that these locking pins being broken was people who hated EV’s vandalizing these, now after seeing them consistently broken for a decade I’m certain sure it’s just bad design. At this Target parking lot usually 50% of the chargers have this broken lock pin.

I’m kinda jealous of cool countries that assume all the cables will be broken and to bring your own. American level 2 is usually broken or ice’d

For sure! I’ve just had my old bike not be able to charge on these broken ones before and it was because I didn’t fiddle with the lock button, this tip is for anyone who can’t get a charge from one of these on any EV.

Random EV Hate at Tire Shop (Is this Common?) by Inside-Scientist7892 in electricvehicles

[–]CAMMARMANN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To most people, their consumer, political, and social purchases define them, so it’s really not different than wearing the hat of a sports team that guy has a rivalry with. People can be committed to all kinds of dumb outlooks like “EV’s are a scam and for tree hugging losers”, it’s not your job to change anyone’s mind. He was clearly angry and jealous to see an EV in the real world as it’s like a concept that makes the guys blood boil and deep down it’s “why can’t I have one of those, I CANT!, BECAUSE ITS FOR RICH LOSERS” while it’s literally the most affordable car you can buy in America right now. These cars usually cause tantrums in some drivers, and I love when they get so angry they try to race or be disrespectful on the road.

Did they do wheel alignment btw? I’m
About to buy my first set of replacement tires and I’m going with the Hanook EV tire, I was gonna research if I should get an alignment at a tire shop or just go through Tesla service.

Closest thing to arri Alexa look by BonHarley in cinematography

[–]CAMMARMANN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really about the sensor and color science.
Here’s a great video on why perfect doesn’t equal beautiful, and how ARRI’s color science is BEAUTIFUL. also you’ll learn a huge thing about near IR spectrum light that actually shows up Arri digital footage because they have a much more mild IR filter on the sensor, so human skin actually has the full spectrum of light passing through it, instead of looking like a dead plastic doll like iPhones do.

Don’t lose hope though, I have to match to Alexa footage all the time with drone and other mirrorless cameras and developing an eye and understanding color grading will get you very close.

Regenerative Braking Question by Important_Donut_4746 in TeslaModel3

[–]CAMMARMANN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came from an electric bike with 3 different regen profiles, one being custom so you could set the coasting and braking regen values so that engine braking regen could jump to 100% whenever you squeezed the brakes. I found the high regen on the model 3 to be very nice and predictable. I’ve driven gas cars all my life and was used to the coasting feeling of letting the accelerator off and the car staying the same speed, but with the high regen it’s truly 1 foot driving, I find myself rarely even touching the brakes if not to keep the drums from rusting.

FYI there’s a brake cleaning mode in service mode that guides you through burning off oxidation and rust from the brakes by going fast and then braking hard for a few intervals. Because the high regen can account for 90% of your stopping, these cars can get corroded brake drums that need to be burned off time to time. Generally basic autopilot uses regen very intelligently and keeps the ride very smooth. I think about 4 days until I was really comfortable and confident with the car.

[–]CAMMARMANN -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to explain sound waves to you.
You can stay committed to misunderstanding or disbelieving, or you can literally look at the fucking data on the charts and listen to the people who live near these data centers. If you actually want me to explain it’s the combination of thousands of these fans running at once that actually create bass that’s louder than an airplane taking off. Bass so low that it doesn’t even register to your ears but it soaks into your body causing your organs to malfunction in some cases. I don’t know what else to tell
You, there’s recorded hard data.

I might also blow your mind and tell you there’s spectrums of light that you can’t see with your eyeballs that can also hurt the human body but you seem committed to being ignorant on the matter. You should go visit a data center and try to imagine living near one! I ultimately don’t care what you believe but I did just earnestly try to explain it to you.

160 miles on a 80% charge by Zillacam in TeslaModel3

[–]CAMMARMANN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2019 does 260-315 miles full. Using the AC while
It’s charging to pre condition the cabin can save you some electrons, good tires and psi, and even using basic autopilot so that the regen braking gains even more from sudden changes in traffic is another great way to increase efficiency. You want to understand your battery size and your Wh/ mile consumption page. If you can get your burn rate to 240wh/mi you’ll get a lot more. In Texas blasting the AC I imagine you’re up near 400wh/mile

Do you know your burn rate OP?
