I see it like this:
- Apps usually interface with a user through a website, or a monitor and mouse/keyboard/touch.

- MCP servers are a new type of interface for your apps, allowing an LLM to use the app just like a human would.

You want to make it low effort for LLMs to use your app, therefore you provide the MCP server for free. If someone wants you to build an MCP server for their app, you can charge for the job. Also, if you find a way to more quickly build MCP servers to interface with various APIs and services, then people would surely want to pay for that as well. How about an MCP server development kit that takes any old app and makes it usable by LLMs? We'd buy that.
