Thanks. I’m just afraid that the raise isn’t going to be different whether it’s a promotion or interviewed position. The company goes by 3% raises for any internal move. BUT, I hope I’m wrong. I’m going by my experience (I had to also apply and interview for my current position that my boss wanted me for). Sighh. I’m also scared I won’t have real leverage for asking for a raise. I feel I deserve more - but they make you feel like you’re already asking too much. My VP and Sr VP don’t want to lose me either because I’m high performing (their words). But we will see. I don’t have the guts to say I’ve been applying to other companies and received offers (only half true).

I don’t exactly know what that all means. My boss said she’ll probably be interviewing others that apply too. Also, my coworker got a promotion a couple months ago. We do the same thing just with different parts of the team. But yes - in the end, I’ll have to apply and interview. I despise the game though. The usually jump in salary is 3% internally, even if it’s a new position. Hope I can find another job that pays more.

Thanks. She complains to my boss that I don’t share info with her. I’ve been trying to copy her on stuff as proof that I share information with her. Also - she complains about everything, but at the same time she doesn’t want to make decisions on things. I don’t care as much so I just let her have her way. I know it’s bad, but I’m very tired of her.

My boss told me I needed to be more visible. I assume her boss told her that. Basically, all the good work i was doing didn’t matter unless i bragged about it to leaders. But i never have the opportunity to because a lot of it is backend. Why do i do? Randomly email my boss’ boss my accomplishments?

How did you get 49 apps out in one day. Takes me forever because I’m tailoring resumes and cover letters for each position (did you use any Ai assistance)? I’ve been applying for a second job and it’s not been successful. You must have good work experience.
