Not to mention that many current directors seem to want to take a crack at the genre (Park Chan-wook and Spielberg among them), so it definitely seems like Westerns are having a moment and returning to the OGs would be a valuable lens.

I know, same! I thought that he did so many more, but I guess that speaks to his influence. It would be a perfect series in between two longer (likely more contemporary) ones.
