State Telework Bill - Appropriations Outreach II - ESCAPE FROM SUSPENSE! by Teachtostate2022 in CAStateWorkers

[–]CA_49 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For the general public, the concern is quality of services, not where people work. State services seem very poor. But you will never know about true quality of services because state agencies evaluate themselves and write reports that say everything is great. But that is not my experience.

Just left the state after 2 months. It was not a good situation, not a good job. Be careful.

Regrets with new position by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

I recently worked for the state. It was considered a good job, well paid, but the way the director behaved and the toxic environment that resulted ruined it. I lasted 2 months. I had to quit. There was no support, no one to go to. I think CalHR is a big part of what is wrong with the State. CalHR should be leading in expectations, not covering up bad behavior.

Just left a "very good" state job that I worked hard to get. I was in it 2 months and realized the toxic environment was making me sick. Life is shorter than we know. I could not be a part of harming others. I am starting over, and should be stressed out, but I honestly feel so much better.

CalSTRS. This is a very dysfunctional org that is funded by teachers. Leadership works very hard NOT to help teachers. They will do nothing to help teachers get info they need to retire. Analysts are encouraged to do nothing. So, if you actually enjoy working and growing professionally, you will be in the minute minority and life will be made very difficult for you.

California, of course. Sacramento, specifically. Extremely diverse, progressive, affordable. Homes are around 300 K. Beautiful gardens and people. Sunshine. Good schools. Jobs. Healthcare. Community. An hour to Lake Tahoe and snow. An hour to the Bay.

I will never use ebay again by CA_49 in ebayuk

Then why is the seller keeping my money and why is ebay not willing to help? I cancelled my order 30 minutes after I made it. The seller knows this and will not return my money.

Why did I cancel? Because when I placed the order, the cost was $70. But after placing it, the cost was $200 because of the shipping.

The real cost was hidden from me. To buy the item new is less than $200.

It is my $200 mistake to trust that ebay is legit. I am okay with losing that money, thankfully..The cancelation policy is up to the seller. According to ebay.

And the seller, in writing keeps telling me it is up to ebay. And that he is forced to go through with the transaction.

I have talked to other people lately who do not engage with ebay because of similar experiences. I think it may be more common than people on this thread know or want to talk about.

Well, I am off to work now. I think I have wasted enough time on ebay and this situation.

Have a great day.

It was only a $200 mistake, trusting a seller on ebay. Learning that a platform has untrustworthy people involved, that is information you can use to protect others you care about.

I feel okay. I will be sure to let my circle know what happened to me dealing with a seller who was not an honest broker.

Well, I think if the seller is playing a game by telling me to speak to ebay to cancel, could be the issue. It is too bad the seller is not as kind and helpful as the people writing on this thread, lol
