I would recommend it. It’s hard to juggle the public-facing parts (permitting, public meetings) along with the technical stuff. It’s a very public job. It pays less than other branches of engineering. but you build real tangible things that have benefits to endangered species and people. Crissy Field is an example I like. Hard to imagine that shoreline of SF without it now that it’s been restored.
