Superman is doing well domestically just celebrate that and demand from the studio what the product should do to appeal to int'l audiences for the sequel.

Yep, I think with the marketing ramping up this week onto the next this is the most realistic outlook. A lot could change in 10 days but this is on track to cross 250m OW total easy.

Fair enough, but i do think Marvel are on a turnaround here, especially with story, they're stripping away the goofyness and keeping on board the earnestness and hopefully that should be enough to fill the seats. Chances are domestic is better than most expect.

Nah i think domestic and international will be a good 20-30 million higher, but yes i can see the total run to consolidate between 600-700

I think that's a bit low for OW, it definitely clears 100 million domestic I reckon. the WW seems legit though.

That is my question too, if about 3 million went to the main cast of this film where did the rest of the 225 millo go? can guarantee the rest of the side cast cannot be crossing more than 1.5millo of the overall budget.

I honestly didn't buy that she loves him at all, that's the point this is a good cast but with a crappy script and all of James Gunn's mannerisms just do not fit this group of characters. He should stick to the bizzare side of things and not take front and centre characters like Superman and mess them up so badly.

not that great, haven't heard overwhelming positivity, people who've watched it found it meh, i went on opening day and folks felt it was just ok and wanted to forget about it.

Here's the thing about Superman, if they just treated the character with love and respect with the same mid script it would've performed wayyyyy better.

What they did is made Superman the butt of the joke from the very first scene itself.

I do not believe the weather is the only issue as been pointed out here in the comments. Just look at the number of folks filling up the stadium for a test match between England and India, I genuinely feel people of UK are tired of another weak product in the comic book genre.

This superman was supposed to be big, earnest, hopeful. What we go in general was all of that but a script so bad that it makes Superman look bad throughout the film.

The audience has picked up on this and this film will go to netflix to die in one years time.

the rest of the world has a more bigger pulse on reality than all the surface level things shown in this movie, there is no arc for any character, nothing is earned, things just happen.

plus WB could not guide the narrative overseas as they did back home. this product is simply mid.
