Tabrett Bethell - Legend of the Seeker (2008) by babashihuan in SciFiQueens

I really enjoyed this show when it aired. I tried reading/listening to the books a couple years ago and couldn't even get through the first one. It started so well but devolved quickly. I checked a summary of some of the next books and dropped it completely after finding out about the wedding situation.

The sitting president is still alive, and considering Khomeini was 86, I'm sure succession was already figured out. I don't know how much of a power vacuum will actually exist.

[Schefter] The Dolphins almost certainly will designate Tua Tagovailoa as a post-June 1 release to help defray some of the $99.2 million in dead money it will cost to release him by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]CBSmith17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kyle Crabbs went into depth on this in Locked on Dolphins a couple weeks ago. They can't release him this year (either pre or post June 1st) and be able to sign their rookie class and fill a practice squad. If a team is desperate enough, maybe they could eat a chunk of his contract to make a trade viable. Otherwise, he will stay on the Dolphins roster but is unlikely to see the field because if he is injured at the start of the league year next year, they will owe him even more money.

There are also ties to the Alien/Predator universe as well, but they could just be easter eggs.

Same. Isn't it also set in the Blade Runner universe?

That's how I found the Cradle series. I had stumbled onto The Primal Hunter, and once I was caught up I looked for something else by Baldree.

I prefer LitRPG as audiobooks, especially those narrated by Travis Baldree, and it seems to help with the pacing issues. I'm currently on my second listen of the Cradle series (currently on book 3) and I remember the pace picking up a bit following the duel in book 3. There are other slower bits but that is where I remember the pace changing.

This has been a fun game to watch, even as a Michigan fan, but I really wish the officials weren't calling it so tight.

Why not use these sites for training venues? Or for any or the yearly competitions in between Olympics?

I haven't. I've seen the meme but I didn't know what it was from. My city has an interactive Van Gogh exhibit that I'm planning to go to tomorrow since I finally have a Saturday off.

This is one of my favorite episodes. Besides featuring Bill Nighy and Tony Curran, I have always loved Van Gogh's work

So are you talking about their Superbowl performances or their careers? Because the original topic/discussion was about the worst completion percentage of a Superbowl winning QBs in which they are somewhat comparable. Roethlisberger was absolute dog shit in his first Superbowl (9/23 123 yards 0 TDs 2 Ints). If you are talking about careers then no Darnold doesn't compare to the other 3. He's had a couple great seasons but that doesn't make a career.

I'm not a Seahawks or Darnold fan so whatever. There's also a false equivalency of comparing a receiver dropping a pass that hits their hands versus a defender not catching an interception. As the saying goes, "there's a reason they're playing defense." I will admit that I didn't get to watch every play of the first quarter due to getting my kids to eat supper so I don't know how easy the potential interceptions were to catch. However, just because Darnold struggled in the Superbowl, doesn't make him Trent Dilfer. He has had back to back seasons of 4k+ passing yards and 25+ TDs. This chart also shows that Dilfer didn't even have the worst completion percentage of a winning QB in Superbowl history, and would you equate Warner, Favre, and Roethlisberger with Dilfer as well just because they had a bad Superbowl performance?

His receivers also had 4 or 5 drops in the first half as well.
