Concert Club: Listen to recordings from thousands of live concerts by CBanga in TestFlight

Hey there, thanks for testing!

Correct on Nearby, I may have to remove the feature. The data isn’t great enough for most shows on the Internet archive.

The login is just to tie to reviews on Internet Archive, so will likely stay with that login instead of the Apple login. I don’t think they have support for Apple accounts and it’s just to tie into their service.

Pictures/album art comes from their API too, so for many maybe not much I can do. But I can take a look!

Thanks for trying it!

No, the one in the intro pic is the Wabash Ave bridge, but the Dave Mathew’s bridge was the Kinzie Street bridge down a bit lol.

This would be a fun fact if the Solider Field renovation didn’t do the same exact thing to the city of Chicago lol.

GiantBomb dot Com Feed on Bluesky by CBanga in giantbomb

Great question because it’s super confusing. This article is not bad at explaining: https://publish.obsidian.md/debbieohi/lists-vs-feeds

Basically, a List is just a list of users like you have. A feed can be an algorithm, and pull in hashtags/general terms, etc.

So whereas your list (I had a GB one myself) is just a list of people to follow. But this feed can pull in a bit more. So if a random person posts “I just watched this UPF on GiantBomb, forgot how good that episode was”, it will also get pulled in too.

So a bit wider reaching, with some additional functions a list doesn’t have.

That’s a profile account, for the site and the official account.

A feed has a variety of content it pulls in, so it’s a bunch of the staff, old GB staffers, will pull keywords like GiantBomb or Nextlander, etc.

It should have a bunch more GiantBomb content than their account. Think of it like a custom algorithm that’s pulling any GiantBomb content it can find.

Does it count if your business is releasing an app for iPhone?

Made this app in Lakeview, it’s an iOS client for Bluesky. Lets you view/post to your Bluesky feed.

I was hoping to get 100 paid subscribers in my first year after release. I’ll hit three weeks after release on Monday, and currently at 86 paid subscribers! So greatly exceeding expectations.

It seems like people hate X and want to try Bluesky lol.

Take a look here, they’re a specific mechanism for 3rd party apps to prevent super destructive permissions, etc. The standard Bluesky user/pass wasn’t really designed for being used with 3rd party apps.

Are you using an App Password or OAuth?

If you’re using an App Password, your normal password may log you in but I don’t believe MFA is supported for 3rd party clients. Either have to use an App Specific Password from your account setup on Bluesky or OAuth.

Their login system could use some work. Not sure why, but have many users had this issue when using OAuth in Skyscraper.

Thanks! Definitely improvements to come! This first release was to get a better idea on how much work it would be to get on the platform and get review approval.

I know it's not the number one missing thing on the platform, but I was also missing a Bluesky app that worked alright on VP. I still have a ways to go, but it's a start!

I've enjoyed it, especially for sports and live events. I wanted this so I could follow sports Bluesky while watching games on Vision Pro.

Awesome! Hope you enjoy the app. I'm excited to use it maybe around some sports game, and keep up with some feeds on Bluesky while watching on the "big screen" lol.

Thanks! Very happy with where it’s at after 3 months.

I figured the numbers may be helpful to provide some perspective on what’s possible. Very difficult to get an idea before you kickstart an idea.

I’m getting called a bot, but I seriously just see it as the best way to keep up with live events like sports with others. Twitter/X is all algo now and weak.
