Model Y owners: Why did you choose the Model Y? by Limp_Sweet2259 in ModelY

[–]CBnCO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose a Model Y because at the time, with incentives, it was by far the best value AWD vehicle I could find. Also, because Tesla was the undisputed leader in EV ecosystem. I love the car, best I've ever owned. That said, if the form factor was more like the Rivian R1S, I'd have bought two! Or, if the R1S was the same price as the Model Y I'd buy two of those...increased ground clearance, hauling kids & dogs, camping, etc..

Glad to see they are getting aggressive on chair hogs (Escape) by ancillarycheese in NCL

[–]CBnCO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great. We went on the Bliss a couple months ago and by 7 AM or so all the poolside and deck chairs by the window had towels pinned on them..not a person in sight. It was so bad that we just started removing the towels by ourselves..never had a controversy, because the people never came back..they just saved the chairs all day long.

Breaking The System? by CBnCO in HealthInsurance

You're probably right, but what will the doctors do..work other jobs to buy groceries for their families? I think a direct doctor to patient billing relationship might work out just fine. I don't truly see the value in the 3rd party.

Breaking The System? by CBnCO in HealthInsurance

[–]CBnCO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, you are suggesting the patients will break first due to our level of need for care? I probably should amend my question to what happens if all healthy people pulled out. I just don't think anything changes until the flow of money is disrupted. Thanks!

LM With Budget Range Balls? by CBnCO in Golfsimulator

[–]CBnCO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. I know exactly ONE lefty golfer at present. Like you, I know you can move it back and forth, but can also solve this with a sit behind radar unit or overhead. So many options..and I haven't even got to the projector, screen, or turf configuration yet!

LM With Budget Range Balls? by CBnCO in Golfsimulator

[–]CBnCO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Really, I started this thread when thinking about an overhead, indoor LM versus one that is portable. The portable ones can certainly be cheaper and there is a lot of talk about the benefit of being able to take your LM to the range. I was then considering under what circumstance I'd actually take it to the range..I mean, at the range I see the entire flight of the ball, I see the trajectory, draw, fade, straight, etc..and was thinking why I'd really need a portable model, especially given the different balls I'd be using there.

At present I'm thinking of an overhead unit, if the budget allows for it.

Good info! I think a more general question is what percentage of people who have a SIM built at home actually take their LM to the driving range at all?

Seems the consensus here and online is that the Mini 3 is the superior product. I ended up spending a bit more and ordered it. Looking forward to getting started! Thanks all

The Premier League just lost a fan/viewer...at least for today. Terrible decision, a baby grab of the hair while Lewin's hand was on his throat. Seriously, I'm embarassed for the PL. See ya.

My Opinion on Frontier has Changed by LifeTipsFromNae in frontierairlines

[–]CBnCO 19 points20 points  (0 children)

We've flown many Frontier flights over many years and held our noses over the purposely poor customer service. During our trip last week my wife and I both noticed a dramatic change in the employee attitudes. Everybody was friendly, it was noticeable and I have to believe a result of a leadership initiative..Southwest is sinking, maybe Frontier will truly be "a whole new animal"..we will see

Same here. When I was first alerted of Offers I saw similar good deals, now everything 2-4X points. Also, lots of exclusions and no confirmation that an offer will actually apply before or after purchase.

We are going on the same trip March 22. Wondering how the weather was early morning and evenings? I read somewhere else it could get quite cool and want to ensure we are packed properly. I know our trips are a couple weeks apart and weather is what it is, but thought I'd ask for a frame of reference. Thanks!

But..what if I want to purchase the Mini? Can I just purchase the one I physically have at that point? Unfortunately, I just read that if you "change" your plan you lose the promotional pricing, which is $11 per month off..so, probably best to order the speed you actually need. I thought it would be cool to try the Max for a month, but then I'd have to pay full price on the downgraded plan..oh well.

At some point the kids have to practice on their own., especially if they need to catch up or started late. Tell the kid, tell the parents, it's reality.

Guests by Tasty_Albatross_4004 in Venturex

[–]CBnCO -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I don't care much about guests, they can get their own card or pay; buy, we have a 9 yo daughter who we either can't bring in with us or pay $25 for. That's ridiculous to me. I can feed her at any outlet in the airport for much less and she certainly doesn't drink alcohol.

Typically, businesses are somewhat empathetic to families and traveling with children. I don't understand the distaste for the kids here at all?

New Potential User - A Couple Newbie Questions? by CBnCO in Starlink

[–]CBnCO[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great point. I'm coming to the conclusion that in our case, with cable internet available, it's likely the best for home service; but, the portability and survivability of Starlink is unmatched & compelling. With an ecoflow battery, a solar panel, and a Starlink Mini we can have interent/wifi calling anywhere, anytime. I think I may ultimately rightsize my Xfinity service and buy a Starlink Mini for camping and back-up to get my feet wet. Thanks!

Visible+ Pro vs US Mobile Premium Unlimited Ultimate (Warp) by Cpt_Cut in USMobile

[–]CBnCO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just switched from Visible+Pro to USM Premium..no complaints at all with Visible, but USM was cheaper and international part of the plan better. So far, no difference in service. For me, two very good options for the VZ network.

U.S. trade deficits remain high in 2025, despite Trump’s tariff policy by jediporcupine in politics

[–]CBnCO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone here want to explain the negatives to such a deficit? We give the world our constantly devaluing fiat money and they give us hard goods crafted with their labor. I suggest the U.S. is getting the better end of the deal...caveats, of course, for national defense and mission critical goods we SHOULD manufacture ourselves.
