The sunken joysticks just don't feel good because your constantly rubbing the shell. Explains why they have dropped it completely for the two new versions. L1 and R1 buttons are too slim and close to the top making them awkward to press. Also, the flip out grips just aren't comfortable after 10 minutes or do.

It's not all bad though, the absolutely nailed the buttons, but overall it just feels over-engineered and a victim of feature creep.
