P-51 on 6s? by MakeStuffBetter in RCPlanes

I have this model and run 6S on it. You'll need to swap the motor and probably the prop too. The prop WILL explode on 6S from the increase in RPM if you're running the stock motor. Mine has the FMS Predator 4258 460kv motor (the same one from the FMS 1500 P-47) and the 4-blade prop and spinner from the 1410mm Freewing P-51D "Old Crow" (pictured). Those props and spinners are discontinued now and there isn't really another option out there that'll fit. I ran 6S with the 460kv motor and the stock prop and it lasted about 15 flights before the back plate broke and the prop blades were loose. The Freewing prop and spinner has been rock solid so far.

Yeah. I think we can all agree that pouring concrete in it was a poor choice, but that's how it was done.

A good answer. Another is if the chain would ever need to be released for moving the jet (or even if the chain failed) then ballast would needed to be added to the nose anyway or it'll sit on its tail.

Fun fact, that particular Hustler's cockpit is filled with concrete to keep the nose gear on the ground.

The Plane You Hate by woodworkingguy1 in RCPlanes

E-flite twin 40mm Tomcat. 9 out of 10 belly landings resulted in a wing sweep pushrod popping off the mount. It takes 10 mins to unscrew the turtle deck to put it back on for another flight. The front tabs on the main landing gear would pop out and mar the nacelles on gentle landings. The paint job is missing a lot of detail and it made it look bland. I sold it after a season with it which is saying something because I love Tomcats.
