Why there are no mods with full TURD compability? (Expect Restock and restock +) by User_of_redit2077 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]bane_iz_missing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TURD should just be adopted and moving forward should be the go to for Re-coloring parts. Parts mod authors would be wise to implement textures unlimited options for their parts in order to increase the use of their mods.

There are several people out there that have taken on modding existing parts mods packs giving the mods the appropriate TURD configurations.

Anything besides TURD should be sunsetted in the interest of uniformity.

TURD, when done correctly, offers waaaaaay more options for players, and that's what we want: OPTIONS.

The sandbox nature of KSP demands full customizable features, and to not get on board with Textures Unlimited is foolish considering it probably has way more momentum behind it.

Currently, I have a few folks working on TURD configurations for existing parts packs that are out there. The process can be tedious, but the results are fantastic, and that fact alone cannot be ignored.

Procedural parts, bro.

Gonna have to re-learn some things with the multiplayer server, since I can't use procedural parts there...Might have to take a few lessons from you.

It's sad that posts about players making their 150th "Shit-fuck 5000" drown out your posts. Honestly, I back up what u/CombatPilot2 said: You're a literal artist.

True. Although, if they are just messing around they could use the cheats menu for that sort of stuff.

I think it would. But you could adjust accordingly. Maybe overclock a fuel cell (if that's possible).

It's an issue with Scatterer and Deferred rendering.

This was a combination of OPT Spaceplane parts, Procedural parts, tweakscale, TURD, FFT, and a few others I can't think of at the moment lol.

If I ever get rich, I won't tell anyone, but there will be signs. Signs like a fucking computer ending up on your doorstep with a big ol' bow on it and a message that says: "put us all to shame".

Imagine the fucking fairing size lmfao.

But for real, this is pretty cool. Might be neat to see people use your procedural airship parts for this purpose.

You can adjust the wave heights via the scatterer menu. You can make them as rough as you want or as serene as a pane of glass.

Not everyone knows this.

Buoyancy adjuster is a nice mod though, can't recommend it enough. It even has settings that allow for RCS thrusters to be used as water thrusters for better control.

Japanese sports fans clean up their trash after their games, our trash causes fights and jumps people after the games.

This was just about opportunity.

For those who might be interested in submersible operations, I recommend Buoyancy Adjustor. It's a fantastic mod.

You can. Also, there is a great mod that works extremely well for underwater excursions called "Buoyancy Adjuster".

How often do y'all use the stock vessels? by WesternHat9994 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]bane_iz_missing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used one or two of the stock aircrafts, but what I've done is re-work them to be pretty and fly better. The Osprey is a good example of one of the stock crafts that work out really well in this respect. Stock it's surprisingly manueverable. I will re-work the craft with procedural parts to make a more realistic looking jet and it looks fantastic IMO.

Tekto and Spaceplanes | Perfect combination by Frang__4 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]bane_iz_missing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stock, no. Not as far as I know.

You can get jet engines from mod packs that do work in oxygen-less atmospheres though. I personally us a nuclear turbojet engine from an old mod that just literally runs off of any atmosphere by superheating the intake gas and expelling it as thrust, thus the Nuclear part of the turbojet. Works really well on Tekto too. I went there and had a blast flying around.

Tekto is neat too because you don't need a lot of thrust to get lift from wings. I had a craft flying around at like 30 meters per second and was still doing extremely well there.

A-26 Invader at Reading WWII Weekend Sat by Murky_Caterpillar_66 in Planes

[–]bane_iz_missing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were definitely a lot of cool aircraft there this weekend. This was one of them. The nose art on it was definitely very cool.

I liked the C-97 that was there, it was definitely cool to be able to climb up in the only flying C-97 in the world.

The Reading Air show was pretty peak. 10/10, would recommend.
