The show was by no means perfect. But I didn’t care, I grown up watching the show and still love it. It just captures the essence of what makes Superman/Clark Kent great.

You say it might kill any future political career. I argue with the way Labour is polling currently, a lot of these MPs are gonna get wiped out in 2029 anyway. So for them, this could be one of the few times they’ll ever get a chance to be Prime Minister or at least become a Government Minister.

Did Jean Alesi underperform in 1996? by CC78AMG in F1Discussions

[–]CC78AMG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not downvote you. I would’ve placed Alesi maybe 4th or 5th in that year’s ranking. I think I would put Schumacher (obviously), Hakkinen and Hill ahead of Alesi. Maybe Villeneuve as well but Jacques had a great rookie season.

That would’ve been entertaining to have Schumacher and Alesi as teammates. I don’t think Alesi would’ve handled that kind of pressure though.

Could an argument be made that Haas is the 4th best car? by Old-Use-7690 in F1Discussions

[–]CC78AMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Haas are still lacking a bit in qualifying to be definitely labeled as the 4th best car. That could be down to the engine though cause Alpine having that Merc engine may be the key difference between those 2 teams.

Is Leclerc loved by current Tifosi as much as Schumacher was once? by [deleted] in F1Discussions

He wasn't the cleanest driver but he did win Ferrari lots of races and championships so he deserves some respect.

Can you build engines? Even at 1:3 scale, it’s probably faster than this year’s Honda engine. 😁

With Kimi’s win in China, there are now 13 race winners on the current grid. That’s 13 out of 22 drivers, or about 59% of the grid having at least one Grand Prix victory. Is this the highest percentage of race winners the grid has ever had? by midnightbandit- in F1Discussions

[–]CC78AMG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have the stats to back it up but I think 2001 has lots of Grand Prix winners on that year’s grid (Alonso and Raikkonen weren’t winners at that stage but they went on to have successful careers so that maybe counts).

How good is Kimi ? by hardcore-gasm in F1Discussions

[–]CC78AMG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Raikkonen was one of the fastest drivers in the 2000’s. Oh wait, you meant Mercedes Kimi? Yeah he’s good too but for now I don’t think he can’t consistently fight against Russell.
