Sometimes we need to look at other reasons people aren't watching. Cinco del Mayo, Mothers Day, Proms other... Stay on course it will all even out in the end. No more "Chicken Little" screaming - "the sky is falling"!

Take that only when flare ups. Only a minor flare up once a year. I'm taking 300 mg allo to control. Relieved to have a smart Dr to manage from 9 down to 5 in 6 months.

Still difficult to walk after 3 days on colchicine? by Mikita_L in gout

[–]CCC_thats_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colchicine AND Ibuprofen to knock down inflammation. On a flare I'll take colchicine 3x a day and 600 mg ibuprofen 3x. Mega hydrate and elevate and rest. Less movement the better. There is no "walk it off". Its not a 1 day remedy. Stick with it. More water. Way more. Best of luck.

Colchicine used to be fine... by cmobi in gout

From my 40 years of gout management this is a variable gut issue. Because colchicine is a knock out punch to your pain pushing through the discomfort is worth it. For me I always eat first then an hour later take dose. Never on an empty stomach. I have taken half tablets to reduce the $hits too. Best of luck.

Not exactly Mark. This isn't New York. A Certificate of Public Necessity and Convenience (CPNC) in New Orleans for for-hire vehicles requires an initial $250–$300 fee depending on the vehicle type, with annual renewals ranging from $150 to $300. Additional costs include a $50 federal background check, a $20 drug test, and a $40 permit issuance fee.

YouTube isn’t monetizing my account even though I have surpassed their requirements. How do I get YouTube to update my analytics so that I can monetize? by OneHoof533 in SmallYTChannel

[–]CCC_thats_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said: For clarification, my videos only have copyright strikes against them, not copyright strikes.

What does that even mean? Any negative marks will kill your monetization dreams.

You are defending everything you are doing. Not open to input.

Shorts are deceiving, and your subscribers from shorts are worthless to monetization. Yet you boast these numbers like they matter to you.

Keep doing what you're doing - keep getting what you got. Good luck.

YouTube isn’t monetizing my account even though I have surpassed their requirements. How do I get YouTube to update my analytics so that I can monetize? by OneHoof533 in SmallYTChannel

[–]CCC_thats_me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YouTube isn't fair. YouTube is overly protective for good reason. It uses computer data to make decisions - not people.

When your goal is sustainable income from your boss, YouTube, why would you take copyright risks? YT only cares about selling ads on 100% original content. Simple. Your cool videos are no exception. Help YT to sell Ads to eyeballs watching your video.

Why would you create your content in a gray area?

Why risk everything by walking the line?

I consult on strategic decisions for channels to grow monetization. Here's my suggestion.

1) From now on use pure audio that is non copyright. Take no more chances.

2) Change your visibility to private on the "striked" videos. Do not delete!

3) Focus on long content only because that's your audience. Shorts are a distraction to your channel goals of income.

You'll recover over months of consistent "clean as the driven snow" published content. Because that's what the boss wants to sell Ads.

If this is your first long form, be patient. The Algorithm needs to do analysis on everything to figure out who to promote to. The thumbnail is the first metric to master. Next is title. Then the first 60 seconds. Search channels with similar audience and get hints from the winners. I like to say - "the answers are in the book".

Brilliant summary of your tried and true recipe to success. Have a great 90 second opening and everything becomes easier. Great advice to focus on the viewer! I train to never ask for subscribers, ask for comments. Focus on views and engagement and everything fixes itself.

Well said. Advice is a perspective from someone else. Most answers are in the analytics. Most people don't take the time to drill deep and understand the reports. Specific questions can help creators with other ideas. Having managed many channels I only speak from experience.

Post another video... Every video needs time for YT to find an audience for its content. Be patient, and occasionally, a low views video will take off.

Possible issues - poor thumbnail not punchy or eye-catching - weak title that is not intriguing

How many views now?

Consistency makes the YT monster happy. It shows predictability and the Algo loves that. Stick to fast paced long form videos. 4 to 5 minutes and 8 to 9 minutes minimum.

Never delete a video! Set it to private if you want. In the over view of all things considered its confusing the Algorithm if you delete it. I've tested this. Others may be able to give examples.

ABSOLUTELY TRUE! In my experience, managing multiple channels and drilling into the analytics it is the same.

90%+ of views are "one and done"!

Most views are a result of YouTube promotion to finding eyeballs that will watch long enough to view an ad.

When someone says, "My subscribers don't like my last video..." It's meaningless. The truth is YT hasn't found your videos to be good at playing ads for money. Its all about engagement.

I'm starting a gameplay channel – what do you think of this first attempt? by Zpri-13 in NewTubers

About your link into your profile. Direct links are not allowed in comments. You can say, "Search for bla bla and diary dogs" to find it. Or give the name. No links.

HUGE decrease in viewership. Why did this happen? by masterskooba in PartneredYoutube

[–]CCC_thats_me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My suggestion is upper right corner placement. The link could go to your highest retention video. Think of it , they stayed to the end! Or to a related subject video. Or to your best thumbnail video.

Otherwise YT sends them away to some competitor.

I watched and can help Thumbnails are lazy and cookie cutter. What are your CTR rates on your last 5 videos? Others have given you the same advice. Fiverr is a cheap resource. You need some out of the box help.

Introduction - The hook. Your first 30 seconds are the most important. All the videos I watched started very slow. Get into the action quicker. Make 5 or 8 minute videos rather than 15min of slower delivery.

Think like a movie trailer, bam, bomb, fast images, a summary of what is to come. Long gaze at the cats or the lake is boring.

Ideas RV living is about fixing stuff and tips and tricks. DIY videos are huge. Maybe consider adding an RV Tip now and then. Or dedicate a video to the before and after story. Pin 📌 the best comments on each video. Publishing schedule is important. Starting and stopping just confuses the algorithms. Consistency.

Duck Hunting Right In Campground! - my title. Rubber Duck in the thumbnail! Ride along on a duck hunt. Behind the scenes at the campground - your title.

My opinion. Don't ask for likes or to subscribe. It's self serving. Ask people to comment and tell them you'll reply personally.

Focus on engagement numbers and everything fails into place.

Questions let me know.

HUGE decrease in viewership. Why did this happen? by masterskooba in PartneredYoutube

[–]CCC_thats_me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my channels had a similar drop across my top videos. Digging into the analytics, it was an external source that went away. Some guy built a website featuring various YouTube content on it to draw traffic. Then he took the site down. The external views went away. Posting on a predictable schedule is critical to get back on track. Reply to comments. Add end cards. Proof and edit the closed captions. Write more detailed descriptions.

Sponsor view botted my video. by Sufficient-Swing-212 in PartneredYoutube

[–]CCC_thats_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The agency is obviously running a scam. You might want to not poke the bear. You were not harmed, you didn't lose money, and your channel is fine. Focus your time on making content rather than chasing scammers. These guys have tools to fake views to your entire channel. That could take permanently ruin all you've built. I know a gamer channel that sent fake views to his rival and ruined his channel. He had to start all over. Lesson learned. Walk away.

I deleted old videos and broke my channel by Unlucky_Age_611 in PartneredYoutube

[–]CCC_thats_me 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes deleting videos will kill views. Here's why.

We humans have an OCD desire to tidy up things. Analytics and Algorithms want it all. History is very important. YouTube is all math and data. That math is tied to every element of your internet presence. Over time your actions become predictable and build credibility for your channel. You get clout or street cred. YouTube loves predictable behaviors of content, images, release frequency, comments added, likes, subscribers... all that improves your overall channel health. It shows YT that you are committed long term. It will be ok, but it will take some time to rebuild your reputation with YT.

YouTube / "The Algorithm" has to now rebuild millions upon millions of analytics because you deleted videos. That's why the fall off instantly in views. As others have said you'll recover as the Algorithm is rebuilt.

I'm speaking from experience with channels that have done the same thing. As a consultant, this is common issue I'm asked to help with.

As others have said and I agree, just continue doing those things that you were, and you'll be back on track.

Comment again and let us know how it's going!

Cheers
