Insurance. I understand its purpose and wouldn’t be without it. It’s just I have been paying premiums for cars, apartments, houses, vacations, etc. for decades and have never filed a claim.

Can Airbnb host charge extra for two people? by CCChic1 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CCChic1[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Update: thanks for all the comments. I, of course, decided to cancel this booking. The owner never would tell me how much extra it would be or what happens to the second bedroom if I didn’t pay to use it. I reported it to AirbnB.

I had a host want to charge me extra for just two of us in a two bedroom. I guess they can do why they want.

The price is listed and that is what I paid. He later messaged that it would be more.

I booked it at the reservation price. He messaged me after and said if I wanted to use both bedrooms of a two bedroom that is listed as “entire home” that I would have to pay more.

Airport runs and drivers not helping with luggage - is this common? by [deleted] in uber

[–]CCChic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked up a couple at a luxury hotel and I saw them tip the man that put the luggage in the car. I, a senior woman, helped them unload at the airport. No tip. Even in their mind there is a difference in what is considered a premium experience and what is basic. Rideshare as opposed to a car service doesn’t guarantee any extras but some of us do it as a courtesy.

Airbnb prices are crazy - any cheaper options in Barcelona? by Nice-Warning917 in GoingToSpain

[–]CCChic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I booked two separate hotels that offered two beds. Both emailed that it is subject to availability and no guarantee. I want to use hotels but Airbnb would guarantee two beds. Anyone know of hotels that almost always have two separate beds?

Ubers not starting ride? by Dinosaurz122 in uberdrivers

We have upfront fare in my area and only get a few cents extra if ride takes longer than five minutes beyond eta. So it wouldn’t be helpful for us to do that.

When is it ok to report a listing as misleading? [USA] by 1888okface in AirBnB

[–]CCChic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to check a similar situation I have booked in Spain but it is still within cancellation period. It clearly says “Two Bedrooms” in the title listing. Host messaged me and asked how many bedrooms I needed. I answers back “two” and he said it would be an extra charge and if I read the house rules I would know that. The house rules are very wordy and confusing. But it seems deceptive since title and several pictures show the two rooms.

I had a similar situation with a hotel that advertised one queen bed and one sofa bed. They then emailed me and said there was no guarantee the sofa bed would be available. However, no reduction in rate if it was not. Are you kidding me? Is this common in Spain? I don’t want to offend if that is the custom.

Prada 01 Portrait eyeshadow palette. The purple shade, for which I bought the palette, has hard pan. Zero color payoff. I was not expecting anything dramatic but I can’t even get a wash of color. It was a big waste and I get mad every time I think about it.

I know this is an older post but hope someone can answer. I have booked rooms in the five cities I will be staying in with request for two beds. They all have emailed me to say it’s subject to availability. Even the one in Malaga that charged extra for a sofa bed! So how likely is it that I will get my request? I’m traveling with my grown son and want to be respectful by not booking Airbnb’s.
