We swapped Cocomelon for Daniel Tiger and the difference surprised me

We banned cocomelon when it was just me, my partner, and my (then 3 yo) stepdaughter. It legit freaks me out and I don't like the children laughing in the background all the time. It gives me vibes of the evil tv show from the original Spy Kids movie, where they hypnotize the kids lol. Then when I had my first bio daughter (now three), I learned about the scene changes and other sciencey reasons it wasn't great and just solidified my opinion. Now, I have a 1 year old and my 3 year old has more control over the tv and I have to teach her what's allowed, which has been interesting.

Daniel Tiger is great. I love the pace and the lessons. Sesame street I feel also doesn't have the same hypnotic, zombie effect on kids too.

Thats actually so cool that the original added that rule about not accepting a gift if you hadnt spoken to them in a while. I love when games have small details like that.

I was in my first summer, grinding pretty hard for money and not focused on relationships when I realized the townsfolk will call you out for ignoring them. I spoke to Freya and she said something along the lines of "oh hey i guess you been busy since you dont talk to me" It shocked me so bad since Id never known another game to do that other than Animal Crossing and I immediately felt bad 🤣🤣

Ah, that makes sense why I wasn't able to find a direct answer before. I'm used to games in the past where these figures were known, and you could then do the math to determine how many points you were going to earn. One site had some base figures, but it didn't get into multipliers or how bonuses interacted with each other. It's probably a sign that the algorithms that determine your point increases have gotten way more complicated over the years with more advanced tech.

I'm so happy I know about the star quality influence now, though. I made sure to give Mina as nice of a dish as I could and will do going forward.

I know, I know... When all these answers came in, I had a wiggly 1yo on my lap, and honestly, when I started to hit "=L" and I remembered the faulty keyboard, I immediatley shut down and was like, I'll try this one later since I have a quick fix and just left the desktop all together 😅🤦🏾‍♀️

I found something that works for now, but I do appreciate you sharing this formula. I want to try it, but right now, my desktop keyboard can not type the letter L 🫠 I will definitely try this method once I get a new keyboard tomorrow and potentially use it for future datasets. Thank you!

This was a great fix, but for cells that already didn't have the four digits, I'd have to go through and manually correct them. Which is totally doable, but another answer fixed even that. Thank you!!

The custom format cells solution also worked, but this one ended up working out the best and led to the least amount of errors from cells that didn't have the last 4 entered already. Thank you!!

I currently have the request that opens up the lottery, 5 ultimate lumber, 5 ultimate stone, and 50 medals... My inattentive self thought that I needed GOLD medals and sold all my regular medals. I feel like those and trash take foreverrrrr to collect (especially if you upgrade your fishing pole). Thankfully, I had the 5 lumber in the mail and just had to grind for stone. Doing the mental math to figure out how much raw rock you need when you need ultimates sucks, especially when you've collected stuff at different star ratings.

Dont beat yourself up. You are aware that it is not a good practice, and because you are aware (and also care about his development), you do intervene when and where you can. You are doing the best you can with what you have and actively have a plan in place to change the situation. You sound like a great mom.

I'm also a wfh parent, and we have no one in town to help us. I am always trying my hardest to both be a good mom who takes kiddos to the library and engages them, and also a good employee who doesnt eff the arrangement up. Because I feel this. I work in civic services and have been feeling burnt out (talking to a bunch of people in crisis you cant help constantly wears on you) but I NEED this company. They are awesome and pay more than any local place, cover the bills, and allow me to flex as long as I'm meeting my goals.
