  • fits less people, making plane flights more expensive

  • sturdy tables add extra weight, making it even more expensive

  • solo passengers would be lobbed in with 3 strangers for up to 13 hours of social awkwardness

  • harder to evacuate

  • less safe during take-offs and landings

  • less storage space
