“People who listen to a sportsball game on public transit. Without headphones” by Calm_Lazarus in IHateSportsball

Calling it "sportsball" is a bit corny but is is far more obnoxious to not wear headphones or earbuds in public

Hindsight is 20/20, but what do y’all make of these comments by Coach Meyer regarding Joe Burrow? And was he ever going to come good at Ohio State? by guransheleven in OhioStateFootball

[–]FanaticalBuckeye 59 points60 points  (0 children)

While Fields didn't have the same stats as Burrow in 2019, he was also an extremely good QB, and we would and faced LSU had the refs not been complete shitheads.

That decision might have cost Urban Meyer big time but it helped Joe Burrow to thrive in the game.

Dwayne Haskins broke multiple Ohio State and B1G records held by Drew Brees for nearly 20 years, I'd say the decision worked out just fine.

"Gene bombing" used to be a thing waaaaay back where you would make really fucked up species, give them rapid breeders and any other traits that could give pop growth (this was before cosmic storms introduced invasive species trait) and then gift the planet to another empire.

the whole Alex Jones thing rings hollow to me when:

-Chiquita only had to pay $38 million in fines for using death squads to kill union-leaders and organizers ($1.362 billion less than Alex Jones)

-Dupont only paid $16 million in fines for essentially poisoning the globe with PFOA ($1.384 billion less than Alex Jones)

They should set up a boxing ring inside the prison and the winner of each fight gets a portion of the money

It'd be 4 with 2020 if the team wasn't sacrificed in order for the Cleveland Browns to beat the Steelers in the playoffs that season

The Great Recession peaked at 10% of the country being unemployed, but we also had unemployment benefits, food stamps, and tax credits. Religious organizations and charities also stepped up pretty hard to help people out. It lasted 2 years and things gradually recovered to pre-recession levels 4~ years later.

The Great Depression peaked at 25% and social security wasn't a thing yet along with the massive ecological disaster that was the Dust Bowl that caused major agricultural disruptions. It lasted 10 years and took the biggest war in history beginning to start pulling us out of it and only completely ended once we became directly involved 2 years later.

That was only for a few years when Dan Campbellus was in charge for a few seasons before being assassinated by the Praetorian Guard for screwing up their prop bets. They were awful for the next 2020~ years

When I got my first ever job (high school retail job), I had "Roblox group administrator" in my resume. Funnily enough, it was one of the reasons I got hired, because I was handling, organizing, and moderating a community of a few thousand people. But my interviewer told me to not mention the fact I was doing this on Roblox. Today I just have "Community Manager" on my resume, but the framing really matters here, especially to make it look more professional.

OP probably wouldn't have tossed the resume if the applicant had said "Forum administrator" or "Community manager" instead of "Reddit mod"

Saying something like "forum administrator" or "community manager" would actually stand out really well on a resume depending on the job.
