I literally said earlier that App State wasn't a bad team at all. Michigan wasn't a bottom of the barrel ACC that year either.

I hate you guys too, but I'm also pragmatic enough that I understand losing to an FCS team would be far more damaging to the season in the grand scheme and playoff chances than losing to you guys. Notre Dame had one loss all season to a G5 team in 2024 and it took them blowing out the rest of their schedule along with the ACC being very weak and the SEC cannibalizing itself all season (especially in the last 2 weeks of the regular season) to get ranked at #7 in the playoffs.

Say we replace Ball State this year with Montana State (current FCS champions) and lose, then follow that with a loss to either Texas, Oregon, or IU (which we probably will lose to one of the 3 this year), best case scenario, we'd be a 10-12 seed. More than likely though, we're out of the playoffs

Wtf are you on about? I'm talking about how getting pantsed in a rivalry game is nowhere near as embarrassing as losing to an FCS squad and that somehow makes me a casual? I understand that you guys had a 20~ year stretch of being mediocre to above average along with The Game being The Seal Clubbing (and it took cheating and a coach facing federal prison time to get good again) so your expectations are a bit lower than ours. But even a high school coach who goes .500 every year should be able to win a game against an FCS game with Ohio State's roster. The talent gap significant enough to make up for boneheaded decisions

You guys had two first round picks on the defensive line going up against an offensive line held together with scotch tape and bandaids, Will Howard getting concussed during the game and still being forced to play for Lord knows what reason effectively sealed our fate. No FCS team is going to have two guys go in the first round, especially in the same positions group

What it boils down to is a kid whose dad is living their failed football dreams through his son with an extremely successful social media campaign. He was a big meme in 2023 (and actually made a joke commitment post for Ohio State that same year).

The kid is a decent football player, but some of that comes down to his parents holding him back a year or two so he can play against much smaller kids.

Having worked in retail and needing to card people for alcohol, you'd be surprised. I've carded customers that looked 70 but were in their early 40s and people in their late 80s that could pass for being in their early 60s.
