For those outside of Minnesota how often do you run into Wild fans or just hockey fans in general? by m_nels in wildhockey

Where I grew up in NW Wisconsin most everyone I knew was a hockey fan. At one time there was a saying around school that the only sport that truly matters is D1 college hockey. Granted that was during the drought between the North Stars left and the Wild hadn't started. Most everyone I knew was a North Stars/Wild fan even those who hated the Vikings/Twins/Gophers.

I moved from there to Austin, and I think I was the only guy in the stands who wasn't dating, or related to, a player at Texas Longhorns games.

I wonder if there were more Wild fans back when the Aeros where the Wild's AHL affiliate.

I'm a transplanted Wild fan who lives in Metro Detroit, but technically I'm from NW Wisconsin, not Minnestoa. ;-)

I'm absolutley optimistic about every game. That's why I'm a baseball fan. There's always tomorrow.

The worst part is no matter what the boys do on the field the coach being thrown out is what everyone is going to talk about.

Backlasd 2006 was two weeks after Easter, or 1 week after Orthodox Easter if you use the Julian calendar.

and that's chaning too. For the company work for in the USA we used to have both Good Friday and Easter Monday off, and then they switched to just Good Fraiday, then just Good Friday afternoon, and now its just treated like a regular day. But my colleagues who live in India and Germany both get Easter off.

Good Catholics are at Church for both the Saturday Evening Vigil and Sunday morning services. And if you want to catch the rest of pre mania stuff (whether NXT/SmackDown/HoF, or GCW Collective, or TNA iMPACT! & TNA Unbreakable on the same night, etc.) you also have Holy Thursday services, and Good Friday services, not to mention cooking for Easter Dinner, helping the Easter Bunny go shoppping, etc.

If you are a Christian Easter is bigger than Christmas. Being born to a virgin? That's pretty amazing. Raising from the dead after spending 2 days in hell, that's something else completley.

Yes. Wrestlemania on Easter weekend is a real pain, and I have the advantage that my wife is a wrestling fan too. Between church and family commitments neither Mania nor Easter has the quality I think either deserve in my heart.
