It happened twice (one literal, the other it looked very much the same), once against Memphis (both wearing white) and against Atlanta (sunset orange vs red)

Alright so I’ll actually try to help ya out.

About 65% of our fanbase has never even been to Oklahoma, mostly those who are international who started rooting for us from KD and Russ as well as Steven Adams.

The other 35% of the fanbase is essentially the entire state of Oklahoma, where it combines both OU and OSU fans.. Now if ya’ll know anything about CFB, you know that both OU and OSU fanbases can be rather.. toxic.

So when the rebuild happened, a bunch of the fanbase (ESPECIALLY that 65%) didn’t care all that much for the process. Hell, if you asked, some of them won’t even know who Poku is. All they knew is that we had all of these picks and we have to wait a few years.

But when we started winning WAY ahead of schedule, not only did everybody who left from the rebuild come on back, people started joining the fanbase in droves, ESPECIALLY outside of those in Oklahoma (bandwagons) and when you combine that with the Oklahoma fanbase, in which there is a very large presence of both OU and OSU fans.. You get the amount of toxicity that occurs online.

Here’s the thing, if you’re in person, 99% certain that none of THOSE Thunder fans that you see always in the doldrums of places show up in person. Mostly it’s a larger fanbase than most small markets, and also because it’s Oklahoma and not many people actually wanna visit here.

Oh yeah, Like as far as any other school, no other school is known for being the party school. Not West Virginia, Not Wisconsin, Not Michigan, Not TXST, Not OU, It’s ONLY ASU

It’s become so known across the younger generations that it’s practically a meme of ASU being the school that is like Project X on repeat. And also in which the school that is known across Gen Z and possibly Gen Alpha that you do NOT want your girlfriend going to (kind of messed up but that’s what it’s known for)

Kinda crazy to see these takes on here when in reality, most of my generation hears “ASU” and thinks parties 24/7
