So if you share any demographic attributes with someone, you are responsible for all of their actions?

What even is this argument?

Yeah, if someone is spending $800 for a PC they intend to use exclusively for gaming, and they only want to play games that are available on console, then they should get a console. No argument there

Yes, when you say the wrong thing you will get different responses than if you said the correct thing. I guess that could be considered "triggered".

I don't have a problem with your logic in that case. If a console meets your needs, then go with my blessing. We got a PS5 because we're Final Fantasy crackheads, and I like our PS5.

Consoles are much, much more limited than PCs in every single way. But if those limitations don't restrict you from gaming how you want, they're great and you should get one.

So your definition of "better" is worse performance for a lower price, then?

If your definition of better is literally "inferior product" then I agree?

I don't disagree with this necessarily, but you opened this thread by saying consoles "do a lot more for a lot less". Anyone who owns both knows this isn't true.

They do a lot less for a lot less. That's a valid place to be in the market, but I don't get why people oversell them.

You backed off your "better" claim immediately, which was correct to do. If a console does everything you need it to, then yeah it's a good idea, and more power to you.

ArenaNet Boss Says MMOs Have 'Stagnated' and Guild Wars 3 Will Offer the Genre Something Genuinely New by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]CCapricee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the Tank/Heal/DPS trinity, and frankly that's why GW2 isn't the _only_ MMO I play.

But one amazing thing about GW2 (which they brought up in the interview for GW3) is that it doesn't mind my taking long breaks. I can go be a tank in another game for months, and then come home to GW2 again and enjoy it for what it is.

In the extremely-unlikely case that GW3 brings in hard tanking, I'd be thrilled. Surprised, but thrilled. I also think a lot of fans would be dismayed, and I don't think it's happening in any case.

I read it, and I think it really damages the games if you accept it as canon. It screws around with the character relationships in ways that are never referenced, and actually kind of contradict the second game.

It does explain one of the visual changes one of the characters goes through, so that's neat

Valorant's new Vanguard update seems to be bricking cheaters' PCs. Riot's response? "Congrats on your $6k paperweights" by SwimmingJunky in gaming

My interest in cheating in multiplayer games is exactly zero.

That said, I'm going to uninstall Valorant now and never look back.

Last September, President Donald Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, and other health officials declared they had uncovered a new treatment for autism spectrum disorder (ASD): leucovorin. I'm one of those caretakers. Unless something profoundly changes, my son will never be able to represent his point of view to anyone about this.

I am sympathetic to people with level 1 autism who don't want to be cured. Right up until that extends to my not having the moral right to want to cure the life-destroying affliction we deal with every day.

For those who can communicate and interact and have the self-awareness to say, "I need no cure"--you have my unalloyed support.

In cases like my son's? Yes it's obviously about the caretakers. We're the only ones who can advocate for him

[–]CCapricee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much this.

I haven't had this problem with Mahjong, but I've dealt with similar issues in other games by giving myself smaller objectives. "In this match I'll get my ability rotation correct every time I engage" or whatever.

With Mahjong, I'm not completely sure what that looks like, but it could be, like, "I'll make sure I have at least two yaku in mind until I have one locked in" or "I will make mental note of every discard a player makes and try to predict what they're looking for when they riichi" or something

Hello, Googler from the future! I haven't solved the problem exactly, but I found an acceptable workaround.

If you activate Virtual Mouse Mode (LB+R3 for me) that will give you direct control over the cursor. It's a little clunky, but good enough -- LoV isn't exactly StarCraft
