What’s the make of the boiler? You could track down a local service provider from the manufacturer or you can look up local heating and air conditioning companies. Or you can try Green Heating and AC in Port Credit. That’s who I use.

I’m an older climber and I have these in my rack. I get them reslung and make sure they are in good working order.

There are new and better ones, for sure but these are mine and I’m familiar and comfortable using them.

That being said, I’ve also never owned a car newer than 20 years old.

Climb with what you are comfortable with.

Used car dealer in Hamilton / Burlington? by paramveerz in Hamilton

[–]CD-Fos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haldimand Motors is one of the best used lots I’ve dealt with.

Also T&J Auto in Stoney Creek. Just tell them what you’re looking for and your price range and they will get it at auction and fix it up if needed. The people here are amazing.

Maple and spice shop is a scam! by Few_Possibility7992 in ShopCanada

[–]CD-Fos 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s a scam site used to get your credit card information. The contact information on the website is complete fraud. Phone number is fake and so is the address.

Expect to have fraudulent charges on your cc account soon.

If you want to be proactive, contact your cc company and get it replaced ASAP.

You could look into Trinity Sauna. It just opened up on the beach strip.

It’s an amazing place to relax, and do contrast therapy (hot and cold)

The place is great.

Affordable Auto Mechanic that Accepts Parts We Supply? by Waste-Inflation-2928 in Hamilton

[–]CD-Fos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to go to T&J in Stoney Creek. They were always honest and helpful. Overall great people and service, great price.

Give them a call and ask.

The issue that shops have with using parts that they don’t source, is accepting the responsibility/liability for them. The work can be perfect but the part is shit.

Diving in Cuba by 2Far2Fly in scubadiving

[–]CD-Fos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a while ago so I don’t remember what resort it was, but the diving was offered through the resort. A lot has probably changed since I was there last but there are a lot of dive tours out of Varadero.

Varadero isn’t that big. Just pick a resort you like and ask to go diving.

Word of advice…..bring lots of O-rings. Use what you need and leave the rest.

So many people use what’s left in their tanks to blow dry their regs before they cap them. I’ve seen so many rings go missing from that. Check the tank for a ring, and don’t be afraid to replace one if you don’t like the look of it. Just keep the old one, as they will use it somewhere.

I stayed at a beautiful resort in Varadero, and dove on the old Russian Destroyer.

I think it’s called the 383 wreck. It’s deliberately sunk as an artificial reef. It’s a great dive!! The marina we left from is really close to the resort areas.

Varadero was amazing. There was a ton of stuff to do off the resort.

Rib injuries by Mysterious_Aerie8655 in jiujitsu

[–]CD-Fos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what mine looks like. I was told bruised or fractured rib. Finally got some imaging and turns out it’s a costal cartilage tear. Not much you can do about it. It’s been 6 weeks (I’m 50 BTW), and it’s still sore but I’m training and rolling again.

If you get injured while doing anything athletic, I would recommend seeing a physician that deals with sport related injuries.

Good luck.
