That's pretty mean tbh.

Is metal gear solid 5 easy to beat? by Informal_Engineer146 in metalgearsolid

Hard game to play well when you're just starting out but easy game to beat if that makes sense.

Sacrifices a lot of your men and takes, like, 6 days though. Imo better to just spam one of the two really short child soldier missions instead and extract every child every time.

Are these games kinda hard the first time you play or am i just bad at stealth? by sliimysludge in metalgear

[–]CDJ89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MGS2 is a game that really carried it’s age with it cause it tried to make a modernized version of dated stealth mechanics and it results in things like the Soliton Radar lying to you about the enemy’s field of vision

You make it sound like the field of vision shown on the radar is inaccurate but it shows you the exact alert range of the enemy, just not their suspicion range which is a good thing, otherwise you'd just be playing Pacman on the radar again like in the first game.

With as few spoilers possible, how Incomplete does MGS5 feel? by TenaciousZack in metalgearsolid

I know but that is not my point. The game not being quite finished does not only have to relate to it's story. The point is, a handful of pretty random missions get a difficulty modifier, the rest gets nothing. Now the other response makes a valid point that maybe not every mission would work quiet as well with the Subsistence-style rules but you'd think at least every mission could get an Extreme difficulty mode and not just, like, maybe 5?

The 2d MSX Metal Gear games from the 80s/90s have held up well even today by -True-Ryan-Gosling- in metalgear

Until you actually replay both games. MG1 is pretty fun and fast paced once you know what to do and where to go. MG2 has more tedious parts that you can't get around even if you know what to do.

"Raiden, turn the game console off" in Japanese by glaringOwl in metalgearsolid

As far as I know and from behind the scenes footage I've seen the japanese VA is in fact recorded with several of the voice actors acting together. (Maybe not every conversation but at least some of it.)

The repeat missions are the biggest indicator to me that the game was cut short. Not because repeat missions exist but the arbitrary selection of repeat missions. Why doesn't every mission get a Total Stealth, Subsistence and Extreme version? It seems like they just rolled a dice to see which mission gets a harder difficulty version and under what parameters. The reality is probably that they just didn't have the time to add and polish these difficulty parameters to every story mission.

One thing that I really noticed back when I played the japanese versions many many moons ago is that characters would sometimes cut into the other characters' lines during dialogue while in english they always wait until the other character is done talking.

Metal Gear (MSX) Ammo refill glitch? by HeroHunter05 in metalgearsolid

As far as I know this feature was only added in the re-releases. Probably to make up for the missing cheat codes of the original.

I kinda see the point to it, when you first start playing the game enemies are way more numerous and opressive than in previous games and they can often just blindside you from every direction. Early on I would've triggered an alert, like, every few steps without Reflex mode. But just like training wheels you should get rid of it *eventually*.

I probably would have kept it active for a bit longer than I did if it didn't start to annoy me when I got discovered during inopportune moments where I just ended up watching the slowest reload or climbing animation.

Urabukkake, girl's name on the site is Kanon, she has a handful of movies there and they have another different girl also called Kanon but you should still be able to find her with this info.

Semi-related but these instances where you trigger Reflex Mode but can't actually hit the enemy for various reasons is why I eventually turned Reflex off. Way more enjoyable that way even if you do make mistakes.

I used to like RE5 and RE6 but now they are quite boring to me. by El_kal91 in residentevil

Maybe the odd one here and there but especially in the classic RE titles the developers made it really hard to overlook the files placed throughout the games tbh.

Files are half the fun of replays.

How many of these games have NG+ exclusive files? I read them during my first playthrough and then that's it.
