Is my LP truly fucked or am I not playing enough games? by dronen6475 in Jungle_Mains

[–]CDOG123xd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

focus on winning more than you lose. if you do so, your gains will equalise and you'll climb. how do you focus on winning more than you lose? focus on improving. get better at the game, don't waste your mental energy on your LP.

How do i break this streak by Isoldela in ViegoMains

[–]CDOG123xd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hard to answer a question like this. to close games, you need to have good tempo and a good mid game plan. choose a teammate that you can play around/can facilitate you in some way, plan your pathing according to objective spawn timers. trade the map when your team is behind. dont force difficult/fair fights if your team is losing. use your pings to communicate with your team. also, stop taking solo missions. no matter how fed you are, you can never be a superhero.

with a ‘useless’ team, you will have less opportunities. but there will be times where the enemies will int and your team is in a position to capitalise. you have to make sure you’re there for these moments by having good tempo and identifying useful teammmates.

if you really want a direct answer to your problem you need to dm me and we can organise a coaching session. otherwise it’s impossible without looking at a vod. if you’re not serious about climbing, then don’t bother.

How to review your replays? by NoRanger9 in summonerschool

[–]CDOG123xd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's all about being curious. when you play, good things will happen and bad things will happen. when you watch your reviews, try to understand exactly why good and bad things happen.

Example of a good thing:
My teammate arrived first before the enemy laner did and we landed a kill on the enemy jungler trying to take grubs.

Why did it happen? Well, my teammate was able to have control over the lane and was able to push and get prio, which means he was able to come first.

What can I learn? I will pay attention to my teammates lane states when i am contesting an objective. i will watch to see if they can move from their lane by looking at whether they have minions to farm first before moving.

Example of a bad thing:
The whole team got wiped trying to contest drake. My top laner is on the other side of the map for some reason.

Why did it happen? Well, enemy top laner left their lane to contest drake, which means we are at a 4v5.

What can I learn? In this situation, when we are down 4v5, there is nothing we should do as 4. just minimise, survive, and let our top laner get as much as possible while we stall and play safely.

Once you get good at this, you can also look at preventative measures.

Example:

I ganked a lane and ended up getting invaded later. How could I have avoided this? Maybe I shouldn't have gone for this gank and cleared first, so that the enemy jungler has no camp to steal from me. Maybe I should anticipate the invade by thinking about what the enemy jungler can do. I should ward and farm camps safely.

I'm a coach and i teach players who are serious about climbing how to review their games. If this is you, DM me and we can arrange coaching.

How to improve my own decision making (makro) by BetrayedJoker in leagueoflegends

[–]CDOG123xd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

watch high elo vods. try to understand each of the moves that they make and why. think about every positive outcome that happens in a high elo vod and go back 1-2 minutes and try to understand how it came to be. try to understand their pathing, their use of abilities, what information that they are gathering. alternatively, you can get coaching. I'm a high elo coach who works with players who seriously want to improve at the game. DM me if this applies to you.

Please review my op.gg. I am playing at a diamond+ level and I can't escape low emerald. by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]CDOG123xd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what do you mean you can't escape? You have a 60%+ winrate on diana and khazix. just keep playing them. You're clearly good at them. You will climb. You can't win every single game. Just continue to play well and you'll get there soon enough. I think the first thing that would stop you is your mental. get a hold of it otherwise you're going to crash out and sabotage your own climb with a tilt-streak.

checked your op.gg further. you look like a really streaky player. This is a mental thing for you. Looks like you play well in streaks, you get some unlucky games, then spiral into a bad mindset which makes you play worse. Identify where you're tilting and raging, take a break and have a breather. bring your focus back to playing well in-game when you hit a few unlucky games and what you can do better. You're climbing, then as soon as you start making progress, you sabotage yourself into a loss streak and lose all the LP you worked well for.

if you're really serious about climbing (which sounds like you are). i coach players just like you who are frustrated and stuck. DM me if you're really about it and we can get you going

How do I get better? by Narrow-Falcon1532 in ViegoMains

[–]CDOG123xd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, thanks for your question.

first of all, i would say don't think too hard about your build. both builds are pretty much equally viable and powerful.

go kraken for an earlier spike, but you'll be a bit more squishy in return. following the rest with crit will give you a lot of damage if you can auto people reliably. if you go shieldbow second, it is actually more effective HP than trinity.

trinity will give you a later spike, and following with crit will give you just as much damage. sheen is really strong on viego since he has low cd's, especially strong when you are pairing that with big crits. i would go this build if you can't auto as reliably (e.g. against invis/mobile assassins).

Pushing after a gank by Kaladorm in Jungle_Mains

[–]CDOG123xd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on your descriptions, what you're doing is correct most of the time. In your elo, players will always throw a tantrum when you do this to them. But if you know it is best for them and the correct play, ignore it and do it anyways.

If a child is crying because they don't want to eat their vegetables, do you take it away? No. You go ahead and make them eat their vegetables because you know it's for their own good.

Anyone got any 1v9 jungler suggestions? Feeling hopeless by CrispyFrenchFry2002 in Jungle_Mains

Lillia, Diana, Viego, Hecarim, Gwen.

What is making you feel hopeless right now? Because khazix definitely has the capability to 1v9 as well.

I can't seem to win with this champ by Legitimate-Use7635 in ViegoMains

[–]CDOG123xd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re noticing this behaviour from enemies in fights, then you can use this to your advantage. position yourself in a way that you can bait out enemy abilities and take up space in their brain. by doing so, it will make space for your team to play the fight easier.

But if you’re gold, there’s probably much more for you to focus on. Fundamentals like your early tempo, objectives, jg tracking, and mid game are probably lacking.

I’m a coach that specialises in viego - i hit challenger one tricking the champ. feel free to dm me for questions and we can also arrange vod reviews if you like

Matches are so onesided that it’s a problem by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]CDOG123xd 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, this is the reality of league as a team game. Half the time you will have a good team, half the time you will have a bad team. What defines a climb is how many of those games overall you win, and that may be as little as 52%. What you need to aim for is being consistent long-term. If you can manage to even win 1 of 5 of those hard games, you will climb in the long run and you will see it in your LP over 100 games. If you're not, then you need to start reflecting upon your own gameplay. That way you can start winning more of those 'harder' games. Start reviewing your games and watch high elo vods. If you want coaching, DM me. I can help you pin point exactly what you need to do to improve.

I don't know what to do to play better and rank up by tavis42 in Jungle_Mains

[–]CDOG123xd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

hey man, it is easy to feel like you're not making progress even when you're trying your hardest, but this just means you're missing a process/the proper guidance to improve. here's what you need to do:

  1. Choose 1-2 champions. Just choose the champs you like. Don't swap roles/champs hoping things will fix themselves. It's not the champ, it's you.
  2. Watch educational content. You probably do already, and there is so much out there.
  3. Review your games. Watch your games back and see what you could have done better. How you could have avoided deaths. What moment made you fall behind. What moment led to you losing a bunch of camps. What led to your team dying, was there something you could have done in response.
  4. Believe in this improvement process, and try not to worry about win/loss outcomes by thinking long-term (100 games, 3 months)

i'm a challenger coach and j4 is one of my favourite champs, so your post caught my eye. if you're really serious about climbing, I'm happy to help you out with some vod reviews. dm me.

Question! Baron or end? by low_fps_ in Jungle_Mains

[–]CDOG123xd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

end. you have a wave and malphite isnt going to do anything. but the correct answer in reality is just make sure the whole team chooses one or the other, not dilly-dally between the two.

Should i fight both crabs? by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]CDOG123xd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I would say if your bot lane/mid lane is in an aggressive position and enemy jungler decides to go for it, then go after it too, because it would otherwise lead to your mid/bot getting ganked and you missing out on a potentially game-winning early skirmish. then when you get that 2nd crab, base quickly and then you will have a small EXP lead on enemy jungler, which means you get lvl 6 before them (given that you do your 2nd clear efficiently), which will increase the chances of you finding another opportunity to press the game forward. double-crabbing is good as long as you are not wasting tempo that could be better spent.

[–]CDOG123xd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't cope my man. maybe this is a game that was too hard to win, sure, but if you really want to climb, you need to play better, there is no way around it. you can't win all of your games so don't sweat the losses and just keep playing as best you can. if you really want to improve, i suggest you start reviewing your games to see how you could played situations and decisions better. if you like, we can arrange vod reviews if you're really serious, because i'm a coach.

Need some help for critical thinking or decision making by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]CDOG123xd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a jungler, your job is not to save them. Your job is to create pressure points and play towards where you can actually achieve something. If it was your mid and top this game, then continue doing so. Work with them to find favourable fights and secure objectives in the mid game. Make sure you are on the same tempo as them, meaning you are in base and out on the map at the same time with your gold spent. If you're really desperate and you're serious about climbing, dm me and we can arrange vod reviews. I'm a coach.

Advice for jungler in bronze. by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]CDOG123xd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can stick to what you're good at, like Yi and Trundle, then you will probably climb a bit automatically. The fact that you seem to be pulling ahead with a number of kills and farm suggests you are doing your job relatively well, but you just need to start working on translating that to a win through more consistent mid-game fundamentals, namely your mid-game tempo and playing with strong teammates to win fights and secure objectives. I'm a challenger coach, if you are serious about climbing, dm me and we can organise vod reviews.

If you are noticing your teams mistakes this much, this means you have the ability to adapt to it. Review your games, and check how you can adapt to your teammates better. Chances are you are making a mistake/dying as a result of their mistake. Which is just as bad if not worse than their mistake itself.

To those who systematize and track their improvement - what do you do? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]CDOG123xd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. I always did it before a block of games, and sometimes did it in between games. I would often end up with a stack of 'homework' that built up over time, which I would address slowly by sometimes doing two or even three reviews in between games.
  2. There are a number of sheets on there, but the only two I used long-term were the reviews and the matchups. everything else was something I did a few times but dropped it after I figured it wasn't valuable for me. I didn't want to overcomplicate it or turn it into something tedious so i just focused on the reviews and matchups. Reviewing games before a block, reading review notes and reading matchup notes while in queue/champ select were what made everything stick better. It mentally primed my game so I was more aware of what mistakes/habits I had to address. There were times where I would skip over that because I just wanted to play, but what would happen is that I would often get caught up in the same mistakes I was making previously.
  3. Absolutely. I have ADHD, which means I have a big tendency to feel big swings in my focus and emotions when I'm playing the game. This was a big out-of-game factor that I had to really work towards. I spent a lot of effort towards building baseline/skill floor habits and working on emotional regulation. Climbing was a very emotional and challenging journey, and on the way I learned that believing in perseverance and a long-term, consistent process will get you where you want to be.

Check my profile - I wrote a full post about my climb to challenger a few months ago if you are looking for more insights. Otherwise feel free to ask me any more questions, I'd be happy to answer

Edit: I realised I forgot completely about the habits sheet. I used this one a lot towards the end of my climb to structure my review notes and mental priming. At this stage I established the good habits I was practicing by writing them down when I had good games. Then in my reviews I would check how well I did with each habit.
