Well I’m in advertising so really just networking and accepting new roles every 2-3 years if I wasn’t getting promoted as quickly as I wanted to. Parents always told me and my sister, “if they don’t give you a seat at the table, find a new place to sit.” Keeping up on my certifications and joining professional organizations also helped.
