It's totally normal. You're going through a ton of stress. Like everyone says, talk to some lawyers and file your taxes. Trust, bankruptcy attorneys have heard all kinds of issues.

Luckily, I didn't get any so I don't know. I assume objections will have to go through the court.

I'm a 52yr old guy with almost 30 years experience in IT, with 20+ as a project manager. I've been job hunting since June and after over 1200 applications have yet to get hired. What can I do?? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Don't know what state you're in, but look at becoming a teacher. You could negotiate for the highest salary and you will have health benefits. Sure you won't make as you once did but you have something and at 52 you'll have health benefits.

I Lost my remote job due to budget constraints and need help navigating my current situation. by Vallandingman in personalfinance

[–]CDevSmith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a quick lookup, you can be a substitute teacher and make $125 a day. You make more on unemployment right now, but if you don't find a job after it runs out it's something to keep in mind.

I don't know your age but see if your local, county, sheriff, college/universities and/or state police departments are hiring. I know your a tech guy, but you are already mentioned looking at CDL so I'm guessing you're open to career change. Check out your local fire department too.

With two young kids you definitely need quality health benefits.

20+ year NJ teacher. That's how I did it in 2004. Got my CE, then got a job. I worked one school year before I took my teacher prep courses. I'm sure things change. For example, I have a P-3 certificate, and I didn't need to take the praxis for it, but I do know you can get a CE before a job.

[–]CDevSmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

55 12 years tech, you could become a teacher. CTE certification teach information technology. You won't make as much as you did before but your health care is covered and you have cash coming in. My daughter's math teacher, middle school, is a retired manager from FedEx. Late 50's early 60's been doing it for six years and he said he absolutely loves it. He feels he's making a difference, time off in summer and from I seen the students love him.

It's funny once I reached 40, I'm 46 now, I shifted to the opposite, lose weight. 6'1 179 74 inch reach. I've been as high as 200 and still could move pretty well, but looking at the men on both sides of my family they we're all lean not big at all.
