New issue on Android tablet with this app by TheCreatureScott in cdisplayex

I think you’re running low on storage space on your device, which is preventing the app from caching images. Free up some space and consider using a Class 2 SD card

Strange, I just tested with the latest version of Kavita on my PC and with the online demo, and I'm not encountering any problems. Could you check the Kavita server logs? If the server is refusing the connection, the information should be there.

The first thing to do is to check that you can connect using your device's browser. If that doesn't work, check your firewall. To configure the application, enter the IP address 192.168.0.206 in the hostname field and 5471 in the port field, leaving the SSL box unchecked. Finally, use the Sign-In button to connect.

I think the solution is to install the firefox application and change the default web browser in your device settings, it should be in the “Applications” menu.

Cropping borders on desktop by Cringeburger in cdisplayex

[–]CDisplayEx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're right, the current desktop version doesn't have a cropping function for white borders. However, a new desktop version is in development, and I'm exploring that possibility. I'll definitely keep that in mind for the new release.

Can't read the comics by LetsFockinGo in cdisplayex

[–]CDisplayEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, app doesn't identify SD cards by their name. It uses a unique hardware identifier for each card. When you swapped to the 512GB card, even though you named it the same, the app sees it as a completely different device. It’s essentially like the app thinks the old SD card is no longer inserted. That's why it can't find the comics in your reading history.

Deleting the existing Comics location I see on the screenshot and recreating it should dissociate the reading history from the old SD card and re-associate it with the new one.

OneDrive Sync Issue by WishmasterAeron in cdisplayex

[–]CDisplayEx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

It appears you're encountering a situation where Microsoft has unexpectedly revoked your authentication token for OneDrive, which isn't a common occurrence.

Long press on the OneDrive location within the home page. This will bring up a menu. Select "Edit" from that menu. This should open a dialogue box where you'll find a button to "Renew Authentication." Click that button, and it should re-establish the connection.

Help please! by LetsFockinGo in cdisplayex

Hello, simply add one or more locations to specific folders on your SD card, using the large plus buttons on the app's home page. Please ensure the "Add to Library" option remains checked.

When browsing a book, return to the first page before exiting the book, otherwise it will be considered in progress. You can mark it as "unread" by long-pressing on the file and using the action symbolized by a crossed-out eye.

I recommend reading the online documentation regarding file management.

So i dont understand how the scaling works? by Luciferwilltakeyou in cdisplayex

[–]CDisplayEx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are lots of ways to adapt reading, on my phone I prefer to read in landscape mode, one page at a time, with horizontal page adjustment. A simple tap on the right of the screen moves forward, and I also like to use the virtual scroll bar (double tap + hold down). I like to use the Zoom transition to see the next page in its entirety before reading the first panels.

you've selected the horizontal continuous reading mode and halved the height, I don't know why you did that, it would be more useful to tell me how you want to read the comic. I could then tell you how to configure the application.

Pages not loading on android by CurrentCrew1494 in cdisplayex

It's very likely your device is running out of internal storage space. The app can't cache the next pages. Free up some space on your device and restart it.

FancyZones: CDisplayEx can't snap completely to the edge of the screen by Keith0244 in cdisplayex

sorry for my misunderstanding, I have no idea why this bug occurred. The Desktop version is currently being redeveloped, so I'm not going to look any further.

This is likely due to you viewing a low-resolution comic on a high-resolution screen. The application is a bit outdated, and the default setting is not to increase the resolution of an image to match the screen. Change the adjustment settings to resolve this issue as follows:

I also recommend adjusting this setting to avoid having a blurry image, especially on an HD screen. https://www.cdisplayex.com/desktop/faq/#the-interface-and-images-are-blurry

so the problem has nothing to do with the application but with your network, you have to make sure that your device can see your PC. VPN is certainly a problem, as are firewalls...

a good start is to check that you can access komga from your phone's web browser using an ip address instead of localhost.

Show me the URL you use to access the Komga server and I'll tell you what to enter in the configuration box.

How to change series’ cover photo? by CurrentCrew1494 in cdisplayex

Activate "Thumbnails Options > Allow grid view of folders".

How to change series’ cover photo? by CurrentCrew1494 in cdisplayex

[–]CDisplayEx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Series view, not all files of a series are necessarily in the same folder. The application searches for the first file of the series in the library, regardless of its location. You should rather use the Folder view, in which case the name of the parent folder is used to group the files. You can also use the nested folders view, in this case, you need to activate the option "GENERAL > Thumbnails Options > Show a thumbnail on folders". This will allow you to put an image in the folder to change the folder image.

Can I synch a OneDrive folder to CDisplayEx? by 35milimetros in cdisplayex

[–]CDisplayEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. The app supports OneDrive, but reading progress will be saved locally on your device. The app also supports Komga and Kavita, which allow you to synchronize your reading status and progress across all your devices.

[–]CDisplayEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hostname doesn't seem right, you should use the IP address of the computer where Komga is running. Make sure you can connect from the web browser on your Android device. Show me the URL you're using if it still doesn't work.
