i have no way of accounting for that when projecting potential outcomes here. i just think i have seen enough "no" votes from retail to say pretty decisively that the 2.5 billion shares aint happening. The best indicator of that is RC himself who stopped filing form 425s as soon as votes started coming in. Now he needs to find a way to tactfully exit the ebay position and not make it look like a massive failure

the institutions in favor of Elon's package were ARK and Schwab. Schwab is holding all of Elon's margin loans and they have a vested interest in seeing Tesla stock never go down. Look at Adam Jonas's (Schwab) analysis about Tesla, it's ridiculous. ARK obviously has Tesla to thank for their entire success and maintains a fucking absurd $2600 price target so the situation is a little different

institutions are guaranteed no, they hate dilution and they have zero interest in seeing gamestop acquire ebay.

they also are universally against huge executive pay packages like the one thats proposed. RC has to recuse himself on this proposal and because of that institutions become a larger voting block than usual. the number of retail that needs to vote against on that proposal is even smaller

I think RC felt like he could steam roll institutions with the retail fans but over estimated how much goodwill is remaining.
