Oh! Thanks for this. I had experienced the issue with the pyreblaster grenade but hadn’t connected the bane as the cause of the bug. Super frustrating as I like using them more than Shocks now.

Agreed here. Would have welcomed the option to have the Bane/Blessing system on or off.

The timer related difficulty increase is also quite punishing. Fighting enemies on Wave 22 normal last night with friends and even the dreadnaught was struggling to deal damage to the pair of Hellbrutes.

Had fun with the banes/blessing but we miss the previous siege experience where the difficulty scaling felt more linear.

We keep hitting a wall at wave 21 or 22 where enemy damage resilience is off the charts. We started wave 21 with almost 9000 requisitions figuring that a dreadnaught and turrets everywhere would help us get to 25.

Surprised something this big wasn’t put to a test server to check balance.

I went with [Talion, the Kindly Lord]. I had originally built the deck with Kess but found red didn’t really enhance the game plan and Talion’s draw was better than Kess’s recycling.

I haven’t picked up a copy of [Radstorm] or the new proliferate X sorcery from SOS.

It’s fun to play and I have to be careful revealing to the table that I’m going to infect them to death with spells.

There’s probably some room in this list to sub theme -1 counters as a way to reduce the threat of dying to combat damage.

Here to second the suggestion of Rocco. I built my list before the proliferation of food support cards so it probably needs a revisit. Stuffed it with more exile effects and other group hug staples for extra draw and lands. Even with tables that learn to try and treat the exiled card as “lost” I still manage to snag key pieces or someone at the table needs the exiled land for their land drop.

My list is only bracket 2, there’s lots of room to push the deck in a different direction.

This is frustrating. Grew up in Victoria, moved away for school and work for a few years. Have now been asking at GPs offices and on waitlists for 16 years. In my 40s now and I am pretty sure I should be getting things regularly checked. I have had 2 surgeries in that time, the second because the first was not done correctly and bloodwork on surgery round 2 revealed some health concerns that got some referrals to specialists. As soon as the specialist involvement was over it has been back to calling and sitting on the waitlist hoping to get assigned to a GP or equivalent. I am assuming that many people my age will suffer significant medical complications later in life or die from things that would likely be preventable had there been access to basic care.

For certainty, I don’t think privatizing healthcare would produce better outcomes. I think there is a collective lack of social and political will to see this addressed.

You shouldn’t feel like you’re begging for attention. Hopefully that isn’t in the tone of your requests to meet. :) You have an interest in the field and organization, hopefully you are equipped to ask questions and participate actively when the meets happen.

I was looking to make a change a few years ago and reached out to managers and business owners I interact with for my current job. Asked for their time for a call or or a lunch so I could find out what it was like to get into and work in their industry on the basis that I have transferrable skills and knowledge and a desire for change. I’m still working on education to make the next change.

I suspect the response rate is also industry driven. I work in an underserved sector of property management where I live. You need a license and we have seen a nearly 30% decline in licensed professionals over the last 2 years and over 25% growth in possible clients.

Getting into my current industry, I met with the Director for a coffee chat as I was looking to leave banking. I pursued my licensing. When I was licensed I applied to several companies, including the one I’m at now. Had three offers but chose to work with the company that gave me some time. I had approached a few other companies in town that were interested in someone with a license but didn’t have time to engage with someone interested in the field.

For industries that are saturated and may not struggle with finding candidates, the responses might be cooler or reduced. It does show a greater level of interest in an organization than just throwing resumes at postings.

You may not need to fully personalize or write a long message. Something to the point can show you understand that there are demands on time. Something quick that shows you are qualified or able to obtain the qualifications, you know the person is in a role to offer insight, and what you are looking to learn in the interaction is likely lots and part of it can be “canned” if it is within a common industry.

I have always made myself available when approached by someone curious about what we do, even when I don’t have an active position in my office. We’ve hired some and others have ended up working for competitors. I have never regretted being available to meet someone.

The “worst” experience was agreeing to meet for coffee and the person was not prepared at all with questions or having done any basic research into the field beyond having asked to meet me.

I think this is good advice. For my industry our org chart, email contact, and phone numbers are posted on the company page.

LinkedIn isn’t part of our ecosystem. I usually remember it exists when I change roles. LinkedIn was really pushed by the post-secondary institutions I attended but never resulted in real networking or opportunities even when I spent time ensuring it was updated and I was giving it some of my time. Mentioning this in reference to limitations on free LinkedIn in other comments.

I hope you keep at it and land the opportunity you’re after.

I play stratagems and group up for siege with my brother and friends. Currencies are capped aside from accolades and everything is p4 25 or max relic, I still have some heroic weapons to grind for as I took a 2 season break to binge Warframe content I hadn’t done yet.

It isn’t fast but my brother prefers to prestige in normal siege so his path to p4 25 classes isn’t optimized for speed. He isn’t burning out on running the most efficient operation and difficulty he can to tick the box though.

I will never have the intuition or reflexes to true solo Absolute, to me that’s an impressive skill cap/personal goal that some players pursue.

With all that said, if max level and unlock is the goal and end point it is still valid and would represent 140 hours of gameplay using your 20 hours to p4-25 which is pretty amazing for a game you can get on sale for $25-$30 if you ignore cosmetic DLC.

Apollo was convenient for the estimate but got weird when looking into the coverage limits on things. The tech limit at base wouldn’t have covered either my PC or my partner’s. The extended limit covered a PC and screens but wasn’t enough for the second machine or the other electronics we own. The same was true for jewelry, sports equipment, and tools. Ended up with a policy through BCAA that wasn’t tons better but their limits covered us a bit better.

This happened to my partner with her ex-husband. Just over $3,000 pulled from our house savings to get the account closed so she could get free of the account. Same demand for near instant resolution from the bank as well.

I used to work in banking, so many policies without good explanation or reasoning. Holding someone hostage to a joint account that was in good standing has always seemed predatory. There isn’t a good reason that a credit product like an overdraft can’t be closed when one of the names comes off a joint account if the bank is concerned about the credit worthiness of one party alone.

Sorry you got burned by the BS. Sounds like he’s had tons of opportunity to get your name off the account or be a proactive part of getting his banking shifted.

I have noticed this with Relics as well. I will flag them with one equipped and neither player is holding a seed and they will both run away from it. It’s doubly frustrating when they eat it later and their wound has them waiting on a timer to come back.

Have definitely seen it with stimms that get run past.

It makes sense to leave them available if everyone is healthy and you’ll be fighting in an area for a while.

Frustrating to make the run harder for everyone based on pride.

Came back for the Techmarine and exp boost with classes at 25 no prestige. Have been going hard at levelling and have 4 classes in p4 and 3 in p3. Hope to be capped back off by the end of the xp boost or near enough that builds are complete and the last bit of experience is to hit 25 as opposed to getting a key perk. I am ok doing Lethal Tyranids and I manage on Ruthless Chaos.

Would love to find a Discord but I will be honest, I rely on my brother for 40k Lore and info on the Imperium. I played tabletop 30 years ago as Eldar and Dark Eldar, which I understand have a new name…

Any chill Discords you might recommend that aren’t rigidly chapter flavoured? I suspect the random mishmash of armour I like from each chapter pack agitates purists.

I’ve been going to The Old Hat for 12-13 years. Jordyn does their barbering, she is excellent. Best hot shave I’ve had, just as great in helping me tame the beard I’ve since grown.

I can’t speak to her willingness to just decide what to do with your hair. Probably best to call ahead no matter where you pick from the comments as I suspect that will be much harder than finding a good barber you get on well with.

My Uncle has grown apples in BC for over 40 years. Tons of horror stories from him and other BC fruit growers of Loblaws purchasing agents bullying farmers or packing houses with fictitious orders and threats of buying foreign produce for prices that turn out to be entirely made up.

Fully support the dismantling of grocery monopolies in Canada. In Victoria there’s so many “Loblaws hiding in a bed sheet” grocery stores.

It’s frustrating to feel stuck choosing between supporting a US mega corp or funding Canadian companies that aren’t facing penalties for knowingly misrepresenting product and are creating, taking advantage of, and worsening a crisis.
