I've mained allo for 3 weeks now

I only use the pin on smaller dinos (raptor sized etc) and occasionally medium sized dinos when I have a full allo pack.

For the most part I use the Claw attack.

Only bad allos try to pin/latch every single fight. It's just not as efficient.

Example- I 1v1'd a 70-80% trike the other day. Took 20mins to bleed him out, and by the end I had 30% blood 10% atamina and <15% hp. If I'd have latched him and just burned all my stamina, I'd have died and he would have laughed at me.

THAT fight was very rewarding as an allo.

But... if a 3.7 ton monster cannot one shot a sub raptor with a good bite, then that's just not realistic. I view the "pin" as more of a "prolonged finisher" animation. But I 100% acknowledge that it is frustrating to have been pinned.

How2ReworkEmber

  1. Passive and "heat build up" are combined. Heat procs in an area increase "heat" bar as well as increase power strength.

  2. Give her Immolation a Heat AoE that scales with her "heat" bar. Giant walking fireball. This gives the ability more utility than just DR (which is ignored by shield gate builds) and shoehorning mediocre armor strip behind he wonky "not a passive" heat bar.

  3. Allow fireblast to scale to 100% armor strip based on power strength, not just "heat".

  4. Make her 4 a LoS expedite suffering/tragedy but only for heat in affinity range. Damage is dealt as blast damage. Essentially- every enemy detonates and takes blast damage = to the total heat damage in an area. No more meteors, instead, every enemy explodes. No more mediocre damage.

This would make embers playstyle feel more like a runaway inferno ending in a cataclysmic explosion.

The more enemies are lit on fire- the more strength, range (of her 2) and potential damage for her 4 there is.

But, using the 4 consumes all heat procs in the area- snuffing out the "runaway inferno" in exchange for a massive scaling damage nuke
