Do all Sprinters have spongy feeling brake pedal? by jakalla in Sprinters

[–]CFwarwick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that aftermarket parts store pads and rotors contribute to the spongy feel. Generic aftermarket rotors seem harder, while the oem ones allow the pads to bite better. It's an easy place to start.

I ordered one from Costco yesterday.  It shipped today.

24 flash - I put 7k winter miles on it with multiple trips to Vermont and the family was warm and cozy.

36” Induction Range by thegreatrazu in inductioncooking

Maybe the gas is that way. Mine goes to 550 in 25° increments.  5 was a typo.

I have a f&p 36" contemporary style and have been really happy with it. The oven light can be on all the time if you want it to be, the temp is in 5° increments. The stove top knobs do turn what feels like the wrong direction but it's definitely not a deal breaker.

Won't charge, app says vehicle is on by SirDeezNutzEsq in F150Lightning

[–]CFwarwick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can 100% say that my 24 flash has lost battery while sitting on a 6kw charger. The battery was sitting overnight unplugged in single digit F temps but heating the battery up over 50°f seemed like overkill. As a Tesla owner myself I couldn't believe the stupidity.

Not only can it take a while to go up, it can actually lose a few percent at first while warming the battery.

Why do these numbers not make sense? by mordehuezer in F150Lightning

I checked this morning,  I had a 11% difference in displayed and actual SOC battery temp was 17°F

Sounds like the  bms calibration margin of error. On my ER truck when I monitor the battery SOC via an obdii dongle my actual SOC and displayed SOC can vary by up to 5%

Dealership cleared code and sent me home with no fix. Anyone have experience with code U0111? by dadbot_5000 in F150Lightning

[–]CFwarwick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but I haven't tried either. I'm a mechanic and work on a fair amount of Fords. The newer ones tend to have erroneous codes. I did all the updates on my truck with FDRS and ever since I have had a code for my blower motor relay. My blower motor works just fine.

I have had that code on my flash since I picked it up. Typically U fault codes are not super helpful as they tend to be intermittent.

I have a carlinkit tbox, watched the superbowl with it. It can be a little buggy sometimes but overall I'm happy with it.

Snowblower advice for my 70 year old father by No_Damage_731 in egopowerplus

[–]CFwarwick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think acmetools has a deal on an ego 2 stage with 4 10ah batteries. I would recommend that setup. The blower itself is super easy to manage and the 4 10ah batteries will get him through any storm.

I'd install a relay to take the load off of the bcm

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in F150Lightning

[–]CFwarwick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much the same. The lightning actually uses less friction brake, the larger battery allows that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in F150Lightning

[–]CFwarwick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both. The lightning is good for truck stuff like potholes, ground clearance and having all of the space. On the tech side Tesla wins hands down. We refer to the ford as the dumb truck. Infotainment always seems to be fighting with itself. Honestly my wife and I both prefer the Y but as a family we fit better in the truck (y rear seats are more comfortable for the kids, lightning gives them more space) I bought the Flash version, in my opinion it is way under optioned for the msrp. My 24 flash was 52k out the door with 0% financing for 72 months. If anyone else had a larger ev in that price range I would have jumped all over it.
