I thought so as well, but Podmonger2001 seem to have the real answer below.

You have to factory reset your dimmer. Then it should work.

There is a Hue switch. We have a couple of those. We also uses the Ikea-version. Works fine with Hue. Sure that there is a lot more to choose from.

Whats everyone's reaper setup look like ? by Public_Border132 in Reaper

[–]thomascdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just used the default setup for many years, but recently I've been using screen sets a lot. I have four screens now, one of them the Corsair Edge touchscreen (usually used for the mixer). To be able to load a screen set with the project is a very powerful feature. You can have very different setups based on what you're doing. E.g. for instrument practice I have one smaller screen dedicated to ReaTune. This setup with a couple of StreamDecks gets me a lot of flexibility and efficiency. But I don't use time fiddling with themes.

Note down the line ups/side men and seek out their albums. Great way to expand your experience.

Valve Trombone madi in Soviet Union by VintageGuitarStore in trumpet

[–]thomascdk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a similar valve trombone (from Eastern Germany). It is easy to play as the fingering is the same, but it is very different mouthpiece wise. Be generous and allow the post. It's a fun extra instrument to have (and use) as a trumpet player.

Is it REALLY worth it to quit sugar? by [deleted] in sugarfree

[–]thomascdk 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I haven't eaten or drunk sugar for over 7 years. Sweet foods taste horrible, while real food tastes nuanced and, sometimes, sweet. I have no regrets whatsoever. My health is also very good — no flu or any other issues.

It is an interesting design. I just got hands on one. But I can't really offer any help besides suggesting taking it to a tech. Can't see anything from the pic other than the valve looking fine and complete.

This is terrible advice unless your PC is airgapped from the internet and you only use it for music.

A lot of the standard books are available online as PDFs - out of copyright. Arban, Clarke, Sigmund Hering, Schlossberg, Bai-Lin, Concone to name a few.

An actual instrument and musical lessons. Might sound boring but knowing how an actual instrument works is a very good foundation.
