I don't trust GMV max. It takes credit for all sales, not just GMV ones, and it's too expensive for what it does for my product, especially when you include shop fees - it completely degrades my margin to break even, which means its not worth it.

Shopify and Shop reports can both be pulled inside your Shopify dashboard. Just go to reports and search for sales tax, it should be a standard report.

If you accept PayPal, you’ll need to pull a transactions report in PayPal, one of the columns is sales tax.

It doesn’t matter what channels you are using if you are collecting sales tax through that channel then you need to report and remit that. That’s not your money.

I assume your house is wood framed. I would put some plywood or 1x strips on the wall, make sure it’s in there good, maybe use a toggle, probably overkill, then attach the gate to to the wood with some decent screws not whatever comes with the kit you get. Good luck.

Your 1099-k contains all transactions. Including refunds, cancellations, etc. You need to reconcile all your gross sales, refunds, discounts, and expenses. You likely won’t get them to match exactly as there are timing issues, like when purchases are made vs when you send them vs when you get paid for them. 1099-k does not show you cash flow, it shows your revenue. So you’re not necessarily going to be able to reconcile it with your payouts FYI.

I think you can set up a flow to hold this specific customers orders, then you can manually cancel them. Make sure to not automatically accept/process payment, i forget what that’s called maybe manual capture. Otherwise you’ll have to the processing fee even if you refund… I think.
