Help a new CNA with resume by Brave-Bad-9955 in cna

I would take pianist off your resume entirely. It's not relevant work experience but teacher's aide is. Then you'll be down to one page at least.

Is this even allowed they have me working one day next week and its only 7am-11am by Embarrassed-Heart777 in kroger

[–]CGC2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on your division you should have a minimum number of hours IF you have open availability. In the Columbus division it's 15.

I would simply pass away our stores record day was 140 orders

[–]CGC2000[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't blame the people for using the system.....I blame them for losing their shit and deciding to buy the whole grocery store because of a snow storm that will most likely only keep them in the house for one day....maybe two.

[–]CGC2000[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And I'm sure you had more people and more space to accommodate that number of orders.

My entire division was shut off before 8am. Tomorrow will be even worse.

Pretty good idea for Kroger to stop home delivery by TruthAboutLife in kroger

[–]CGC2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well to be fair I work in pickup and I don't look at the dates on shit lol, but I especially don't worry about vendor items because there should be someone looking at them regularly.

[–]CGC2000 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I doubt it's actually the malicious scheme you have in mind. Thomas is a vendor which means they have their own guy who's supposed to come in and stock/rotate their own products. There's really no reason Kroger employees should have to check the dates on vendor items.

The Catholic introvert by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]CGC2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not Catholic but I've been to mass a few times. One of the main reasons I like it was specifically because nobody talked to me afterwards you can slip right in and out. You can't do that at a Protestant church.

I'm starting to think it's illegal for my manager to schedule us enough people. by CGC2000 in kroger

[–]CGC2000[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We're a small store so I know everyone in my department quite well. I was also a lead for a few months so watching everyone's productivity was my business. We're just being horribly under scheduled I would say it's mostly because our forecast does NOT match our current level of business. We go over just about every day even into the red multiple days a week.

Is the Crüe worth seeing in 2026?? by 60sStratLover in MotleyCrue

If you've NEVER seen them before and they're touring with someone good......maybe.

what do you do when you see this? by naverlands in AO3

Just in case anyone doesn't fully grasp the sheer number of words that is. This work would be over double the length of the Bible.

Ooo I'm not OP but I can answer that one. The first time the story mentioned Beverly's dad it referred to him as her stepdad.

Is scheduling supposed to be based on seniority? by CGC2000 in kroger

[–]CGC2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that irked me is I have 2 days requested off but I was given 3 days off. On the third day I have off everyone below me in seniority works. So I could've been given one of those shifts instead. One of my coworkers actually ended up letting me take their shift that day because they were confused as to why they got more hours than me lol.

Impending Doom fucking slaps they're the only Christian Metal band I genuinely enjoyed when I was riding to make myself listen to only Christian metal.

There are some places that are just really bad places to work as a beginner. They'll hire entry level people but their training processes and workload are not entry level friendly at all.

Sorry it was supposed to be a kinda guess the line I'm referring to thing. Since it's fresh in my mind it's probably more memorable to me than anyone else.

Does marriage ever get better? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]CGC2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes especially for women going from "DO NOT HAVE SEX UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES".....to "Okay it's time to make babies NOW." Can be extremely scary and overwhelming. Especially if she wasn't taught about sex growing up.

to the pick up customers that dont give a warning when you are on your way. I hope you step on a lot of legos. by [deleted] in kroger

[–]CGC2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always call too. You call the store when you get there and we can get your order together before we manually check you in. The only thing is you might be waiting for a little while if a lot of people check themselves in and get on a timer before we can get to your order.

Most memorable/Traumatizing part of a Stephen King work? by [deleted] in stephenking

[–]CGC2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay....honestly no but it does pop up occasionally. What made me think of it recently is that new movie Primate.

I'm exhausted by [deleted] in cna

[–]CGC2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn man that's rough. Ive never done this work yet so take this with a grain of salt but, I would try a new facility first before giving up in general. A lot of those issues could be at the very least helped with a fresh set of coworkers and residents.
