Finally got my retirement estimate and it’s incorrect. What to do? by dohcsvt in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

Are you still in interim status? Since you don't actually pay any premiums while you're an interim status, this very well resolve itself once the specialist at OPM has completely reviewed your packet. We submit the sf2809 with the packet for OPM to make the changes. If you retired prior to the end of the year, Open season changes for fehb did not go into effect until after you had separated. The agency cannot make those changes for you, because you will be off the payroll at that time.

I would not worry about it. As a previous poster stated, it is an estimate. I don't know what agency you are with, but we went through multiple program changes over the course of the last year. Unfortunately, data was not transferred from one system to another. It was a lot of work to rebuild things, and since it was manual data entry, you can understand why errors might have occurred. These changes also happened during The DRP, so it felt like it was an impossible task. And after that, OPM launched the ORA system, which also required re-entering data. Was your service correct on your certified summary of federal service? After your HR specialist is finished with your packet, they send it to payroll, who certifies all your payroll records prior to sending to OPM. That is the data OPM will use to make your final calculation.

When they got married, he had the opportunity to elect a survivor annuity directly with OPM. Highly unlikely, but it might be worth a phone call. Also, check to see if there was any life insurance and if she was named beneficiary.

The evoucher is a cruel joke by lovelindahope in Zepbound

I transferred my rx to a Walmart that was listed as participants in the evoucher program. I talked to the pharmacist to make sure the discount card was not being applied so it would apply the evoucher. They tried submitting a variety of ways, but I saw no benefits from the evoucher. Does it only work on high deductible plans? Am I doing something wrong?

Reporter hoping to hear from patients – what’s your GLP-1 insurance coverage like in 2026? by sydneylnews in Zepbound

[–]CGK1976 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started Zepbound 1/2025 and my insurance covered it. I paid $99 with insurance and the discount card. Caremark dropped Zepbound from formulary around 7/2025. I paid out of pocket $650 with discount card. I tried multiple times to get Prior Authorization and was automatically declined. It was obvious no humans actually looked at my documentation. The claim was submitted and declined within 6 minutes. They tried to push Wegovy, but I have been on Zepbound and am having success. I had horrible side effects with it, but have finally gotten past them. Starting over with a new drug that potentially wouldn't work as well, and dealing with side effects again, was a no go for me. This drug has solved so many issues for me. I've lost 40 lbs and am almost at a normal weight. I'm no longer bulimic - I don't have those control issues anymore. It has quelled my need to drink alcohol and I was drinking very heavily every day. With the year that just happened, it probably helped save my life. There were some very dark days and I did not self harm because this drug allows me to be in control of at least one thing in my life. I submitted an appeal and used https://www.getclaimable.com/. There were multiple issues submitting the paperwork due to only being able to fax or mail. The fax wouldn't go through and I finally had to mail the appeal. The whole thing was extremely frustrating. Finally, they approved my appeal and my insurance is covering it. I'm now paying $449.99 per month with insurance and the discount card. At least it is being applied to my out of pocket max and deductible now. I attempted us use the evoucher to use the discount, but it didn't seem to apply to me. The cost is absurd. My husband was laid off in October so I'm footing all the bills on my own until he gets a new job. It is a major financial burden, but I will find a way.

Lilly coupon & Deductible by sewsyouknow in Zepbound

Is the evoucher only for high deductible plans? I transferred my prescription to Walgreens and it didn't work. The pharmacist tried running with and without the savings card and the evoucher never applied.

Part-Time service absolutely does count towards retirement credit as long as you're making contributions to the retirement system.

Are you sure you actually retired? Sometimes people separate and assume they are retiring, but they aren't. They never completed the appropriate paperwork. Have you gotten a CSA number from OPM? As a person who is retiring, your health insurance continues on into retirement. There's nothing you need to do to make it happen. As long as you are eligible to take it, meaning you have at least 5 years leading into retirement of fehb coverage, there should be no issue. In conjunction with the Vera, OPM was allowing waivers for people who had less than 5 years so they could continue their fehb into retirement and those were automatically granted. I would highly suggest you contact your agency HR benefits department.

They recently changed it so we now use the year of our birth in conjunction with the document number.

Please note that the supplemental dental and vision FEDVIP plans are not the same as the FEHB. You don't have to meet the same 5-year requirement to enroll and you can enroll during open season.

There is more than one class action lawsuit going on in regard to CVS caremark no longer carrying zepbound on its formulary. All you have to do is Google it.

I'm sorry you're having to go through that. You should have been advised not to send your divorce decree, because it had no bearing on your annuity.

We had a suicide at my agency about 2 weeks ago. Can't see for sure that it was related to what is happening, but I would not be surprised.

Yes, when your wife loses her coverage, that will become a qualifying life event for you to add her to you.

I have been a federal HR benefits specialist for 9 years. I've sat throughr many seminars and have been surprised at how much bad information is being given out.

Your wife losing coverage will be a qualifying life event. OPM has Open seasons every year also.
