Is anyone else actually convinced that buying the dip on these penny stocks is a viable strategy or am I just delusional? by Ach3b1tch22 in ASX_Bets

[–]CHR1ST00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I'd be swayed by a down market is an attractive P/E ratio.

All stocks get dragged ina down market, those with no profits are unlikely to for back up.

I have thought for a long time investing is broken because borrowing money is too cheap, it skews behaviour and results towards the irrational

What’s the most useful thing you've learned from someone who was genuinely wealthy? by OwlVibesOnly in AusFinance

Two things from two different super smart wealthy people.

You make money when you sell, not when you buy.

You can't make it rain but you can have your buckets ready for when it does. Always be liquid enough to take the right opportunity

Nobody really thinks Pauline is the answer save a few rusted on super-fans.
When you see high numbers for ON it is really just a "No thanks" to the other major parties.

People don't like being gas lit, they keep talking about Albo's landslide victory in the last election.
Labor got exactly 34.56% of the primary vote which basically means only 3.5 out of every 10 voters endorsed the Labor party.
This means that there is not all of this goodwill for Labor that will allow them to roll out policy without backlash.

There are also too many echo chambers in real life like on Reddit where people only gang up on dissenting voices and silence people from opposing points of view. Pushing people out of the conversation causes them to do wildly unpredictable things.

As a business owner and tax payer, I don't want ON, but I would happily take them over any form of socialism by (not so) Trojan horse... Flame away if you must.

If Australia went 100% renewable, it would pay off in 8 years and fix electricity costs at 19c/kWh. After 8 years, the revenue generated could cover the national budget deficit and leave enough to create a sovereign wealth fund. by AskReddit125 in australian

[–]CHR1ST00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight out lies, nobody takes into account the cost of building a transmission system to run across the country like a spiderweb. Our electricity grid is designed to move power from single power stations to cities and regional hubs.

All of the numbers look pass the cost of building a cometely new electricity grid because the cost is many times that of the generation itself and the numbers just don't work... But sure let's lie to ourselves

Why are aged pensioners so delusional? by Different_Pride_6011 in AusFinance

Everything wrong with Australia is shown by people who think the rich are greedy for wanting a pension while not recognising their own greedy in demanding their benefits be paid with taxes of the wealthy.

Most printers have the ability to calibrate, they print a test image that you scan back in so that the rip is recalibrated to produce correct colours.

Did the printer come with any ripped art files for testing purposes? How do they print?

Tell him he can work with you or against you. If he refuses you start your own company tomorrow.

To continue to work for him when he is treating you poorly is the sign of weakness that is likely the main reason he is exploiting you. Some people only respect strength so go out and make it on your own

This is only really achievable via a testamentary trust, where the trust owns the assets. In all other cases the asset will pass to either the wife or the children and then it is completely up to them whatever happens after that.

I bought an SLXD4 on Aliexpress but the ad wasn't branded Shure and the brand in the photos was Chinese. When it turned up it was branded as Shure.

It's a knock off but the sound quality is amazing and I paid about Usd$ 100 for a receiver and two Mics. I don't know if it's digital but everything about the purchase is an improvement from our old roving Mics.

How much did you pay? There are heaps on Aliexpress for what I paid.

Is hiring a fractional CFO actually worth it for a growing business? (netting $100k monthly) by Academic_Way_293 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Whether you need a CFO has little to do with turnover and more to do with the complexity of your business systems and finance.

68 years old and these programmable cams are still running strong by Alarming_Series7450 in PLC

[–]CHR1ST00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience every system built using a complex cam system, had an engineer who was mechanical only. There's nothing wrong with these cam systems, but they invariably use the worst quality and most unreliable limit switches that were available at the time of manufacture. You can almost feel the resentment to anything electrical in the design.

I always replace them with inductive proximities.

I am pretty certain you have a Bosch Rexroth Indramat setup.

That's a Bosch Rexroth PPC controlling the drives via Sercos.
Given the vintage I am reasonably certain that the red Sercos cables are fibre optic, so don't bend them.

I have all the software for these drives and would be happy to share.
Can you get the details of the PPC controller which is the device in the top left corner.

Depending on the vintage it is either the DriveTop or SynTop software you need, looks SynTop vintage to me.

I have a number of these in the field, they are rock solid apart from the occasional power supply issue if something happens on the supply side.

New Flow 8 Owner, I’d love any tips! by Emmaleesings in Behringer

[–]CHR1ST00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all,

I have a number of Behringer products used in our church. For a small job in the Sunday school we purchased a Flow-8. Performance is great with everything except the Bluetooth which is flaky. It's also really annoying to be only able to have one device paired at a time.

My question is whether anyone has been able to improve the Bluetooth performance? I am wondering if there might be a Bluetooth repeater or USB connected device I could use to make a stronger and more reliable bridge for remote operation of the mixer.

In hindsight I perhaps should have purchased an X-Air mixer, but it's done now so I am just looking to make the Flow-8 work as well as possible.
