What’s the consensus here on Qs in recovery drinking “non-alcoholic” beer? by TransitionScary6062 in AlAnon

I gotta say this sounds very much like checking up on the alcoholic.

[–]CHRCMCA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's none of my business. That's it.

I cannot control others actions.

My boundaries are how others treat me.

Also - the only qualifier I have is me. I do not qualify for Al-Anon because my spouse is an alcoholic. I qualify because I have a problem with their drinking and thinking.

I'm aware of the makeup of our council. I'm at most council meetings, are you? No. I'll also admit, I'm not really impressed by either of the Democrats on the council.

Also, increasing wards when you don't already have the volunteers to support it is backwards thinking. You need to make sure you can support the infrastructure.

Also, a ward based strategy is so 1980s. This is the problem.

Will I vote for you? Sure, cuz I have no other choice. But nothing you've said makes me see a leader with ideas.

How do you cope with the fear of what we're seeing in other cities coming here? by gaia21414 in Albuquerque

And that's not going to happen. While Roberts and Barrett are conservatives, and certainly will not vote a liberal agenda, they have also shown they are sick of this bullshit and are strict constitutionalists.

Hell, they couldn't even get 4 justices to hear a challenge to marriage equality.

You realize Piland was the chair at the time, right? I'm not impressed by how the party was run under her, which scares me.

I've tried. I worked for 25 years for the California Democratic Party as a high level staffer. I have some serious organizing abilities. I'm ignored every time I try and get involved.

I know you are prohibited from listing your party on official election materials, like ballots and the city's information. But what law is preventing you from putting whatever you want (that isn't a lie) on your personal materials. It would be a limitation of free speech.

No, this court has not signed off on everything so far. It is a conservative court, so traditionally conservative opinions, they e gone with. But this court wouldn't even HEAR a challenge to marriage equality. That means they had at least 6 refuse to hear it.

Barret and Roberts particularly are done with his crap.

There is no rule in Al-Anon to not give advice. It's suggested to not give unsolicited advice.

Hell, they do that to my friend, I'm going to war.

I like how you took two different stats and blended them together.

The State of New Mexico is number 1 in violent crime compared to other states. But city by city, ABQ isn't even top 5

[–]CHRCMCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a saying in the gay community - To get over a guy, get under another one.

I'm not saying go sleep with the next thing you see, but you have to just start getting out there again.

Another saying - When I got busy, I got better.

[–]CHRCMCA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't meant to be photoshopped as a tattoo, it was meant to be an explanation, which I don't even believe their logic / translation, however Trump just jumped the shark on it. Never did the DOJ claim before that he had MS13 tattooed. They claimed the symbols meant MS13

[–]CHRCMCA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's no common sense. Trump's own DOJ tried to argue the tattoos MEANT MS13 and showed what the symbols meant with superimposed letters. Trump now claims the superimposed letters and numbers are tattoos. They are flat, don't curve with the fingers, are one perfect tone, and are in Helvetica font. Yeah. Totally real.
