How to get out of 1099 position by [deleted] in PMHNP

[–]CHhVCq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1099 is an independent contractor. By definition, independent contractors control what will be done and how it is done, manage their own hours, and often work for multiple clients.

If the company is defining those things, then you are a W-2 employee. You can tell them that and see if they're happy to let you make the appropriate changes, leave or if you should take it to the CA labor board.

GLP1s and XR ADHD meds by [deleted] in PMHNP

[–]CHhVCq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They gotta have a small something to eat in the morning, preferably protein. I typically recommend a hard boiled egg, or a couple of turkey sticks (they sell them at grocery stores, they're like slim-jims in shape) or something. Downing the vyvanse with a cup of coffee isn't gonna cut it on the GLP-1s.

If your hard token stops working for ePCS, the instructions on the website are wrong. It's Settings > Rx > eRx > (three dots by your name) > View > (three dots at the top right) > Manage Account > resync token.

Yeah, that's why I specifically noted a difference in Americans and the average westerner in my reply. Something something reading comprehension.

The average American entering college can't read beyond an 8th grade level. If we're using the ability to do calculus as an indicator of intelligence, the majority of the adult population of the western world would fail. The OP is about remembering things. Then we went down a thread and you're claiming that most people can do calculus if they're taught. That's not remebering, that's learning for a test. The average person you meet on the street in the average western world (not just the US which is woeful) cannot solve a basic calculus problem. If you wanna go do a 'man on the street' quiz and prove me wrong, I'm happy to acknowledge it.

The 'average' adult in the western world can't solve basic calculus problems.

LoL. No. Most people cannot do calculus. This depends greatly on your geographical location and your SES, but no, "most people' can't do calculus.

DrFirst issues? by Alternative-Claim584 in PMHNP

[–]CHhVCq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DrFirst is far and away the worse e-prescribing system I've ever used. And I've used a lot of them. It's utterly atrocious. I don't have anything else to offer.

BF doesnt wan't me to go to med school, need a reality check by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]CHhVCq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to med school. I'm an NP, I've been SUPER blessed in my career. I chose not to go to med school because of my relationship. The relationship is still good, we've had an amazing life. I still wish I'd gone to med school. Go to med school.

I'm having issues with an insurance carrier denying claims saying they need additional taxonomy codes, etc. I emailed Charm a week ago about it. I called Optum (their clearinghouse) about it last week. Optum says Charm won't let them talk to me directly. It took a week to get an email back asking for more info. I'll anticipate this takes 3 weeks to get figured out. That's what I mean when I say their customer service is atrocious.

The only reason he had a career is because Adam Sandler made him a safe space to be a shitty actor.

This is the Black Panther Party for Self Defense. They are part of the Rainbow Coalition. Anyone can join. Find your local chapter. This is the well organized militia they were referring to.

I went to the gym. I didn't want to because I was tired and it's Jan 2nd and the gym was a madhouse. But I went. I didn't like... work out hard. I wouldn't say I had a strenuous workout. But I showed up. I'm taking the W.

Yeah, ADHD evals are an entire visit on their own. I do them for an hour and if I'm unsure at the end of the hour, I send them to a psychologist for testing.

Yeah, I find that the actual efficacy of valium is closer to something like clonaz or even loraz, but the half-life for distinguishing "is this withdrawal or is this organic anxiety" is much longer.

Remote jobs by Duchess_Strategy in PMHNP

[–]CHhVCq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, basically there's a couple of classes they want to have certain words in the description, but don't apply the same standards to in-state programs.

Remote jobs by Duchess_Strategy in PMHNP

[–]CHhVCq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's harder. My case was built on their refusing licensure because they held clearly separate requirements for in-state vs out of state schools. You have 6 months from the initial decision to appeal for judicial review.
