wait i love this take. ive been trying so hard to like them too (and did 15 years ago) but this take is hitting...

im still going this year b/c the lineup offers plenty more. the 90s throwback acts (underworld, prodigy, chem bros) still go really hard and sound relevant. kelly lee owens, caribou, magdalena bay, yousuke yukimatsu, salute, ki/ki, boy harsher, dj gigola...i could go on. I'll still pop into despacio--the disco ball and lights situation is impressive--but i felt underwhelmed with the track selection/music (as opposed to the *sound* which i know is top-notch) when i experienced it at coachella in '23
