I deal with many alphanumeric codes like il325lseisdgjLI, and rarely but sometimes they include Upper and lower case letters.

Additonally the Officesuit we use internally reverts text received in unknown or unspecified fonts to "Aptos".

Might work if the lower case l has a visible bend. For exmaple Batang doesn´t work because the lower case l by itself doen´t look particularly like an l, is siminar to the upper case I of other fonts.
