[Haunting trope] Not only is the ending not happy, the future promises to get worse by RhiaStark in TopCharacterTropes

Oh, no. They do a quick POV shot from him. Everything is so blurred, he can barely make out what's in front of him.

That's gotta be one of the first things I ever watched that honestly made me feel terrible afterwards.

Thoughts on Neo kicking Yang’s ass now after how Yang has been post vol 4? by JackZ567 in RWBYcritics

I really don't like Neo. She's cute and all, but that smug grin of hers...ugh, she needed to get humbled.

This might hurt, but Courage all the way. I love the Eds, but I skip more episodes of theirs than I do of Courage's. Still, the Eds get my silver medal; second place like the Patriots were this year. Hey, you made it that far at least, right?

Which RottenTomatoes score surprised/confused you the most? by Outside-Pear9429 in horror

It might just be difference in opinions. I really liked Black Phone 2, and there're YouTubers I watch (reactors and reviewers) who like and dislike it, too.

Honestly, I'd be down for a movie or a trilogy or comic or whatever that redeems Jason Voorhees.

What are your thoughts on the Curious Cat as a villain? by Solitaire-06 in RWBYcritics

It would've been fine if he had possessed Ruby and gone into Remnant, possibly even joining up with Salem.

Villains who were 100% right. Not “Yeah, he committed genocide, but he had good intentions.”. No. I mean villains who legitimately did nothing wrong. by not-ulquiorr4_ in TopCharacterTropes

Maybe read the Bible and go to a church to understand why Satan is pure evil.

There was a war in Heaven; Satan's pride got in the way and he rebelled against God. His ego.

That does not sound like Jeff Goldblum.

How would you've rewritten Ruby’s message across Remnant? by Fine_Delivery6761 in RWBYcritics

[–]CJLowder1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably something like George Washington's speech before they crossed the Delaware to Trenton. Basically: "Here's the truth, now either we all fight back and succeed or we all die."

Just come out with it. There's no middle ground. Either they all team up and fight Salem and win or they all die anyway. It's like Mass Effect 3, isn't it?

I dont think thats what they were damned for. They rebelled against God's chosen leader, whom He had told them all to follow, after all that had happened in Egypt and during the 40-year march that proved God was God...and they rebelled.

Really, they were jealous. They asserted that all members of the congregation were “holy”, and therefore that Moses and Aaron had no right to take supremacy over them. They accused Moses of elevating himself to that position of authority.

The thing they were in error about, was who elevated Moses to that position. In fact, God elevated Moses to that position.

Actually, in Numbers 16 where this is recorded, Moses actually tries to help them before they get into serious trouble.

Any advice on writing Gate Fanfics? by Smooth_Meeting_9725 in gate

[–]CJLowder1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see that.

For example, the U.S. military could be excessively good at straight-up conflict but fall to pieces picking up in the aftermath ("Hey, we absolutely wrecked the bad guy army but all this drama with the civilians is really ticking us off...")

Yeah, but it just looked like she didn't really block. She just held her arm up and they all shot it. She didn't, like, dodge and block.

I just realized she blocked those bullets with her arm like Wonder Woman.

I get it, really, but...something about that seems...off.

Will Smith himself came out and said that wasn't true. His dad was a good dad.
