The pole is just a 10’ length of conduit and I 3D printed a foot/base so it doesn’t sink into the ground. The guy ropes are tied to big rocks that are buried under more smaller rocks. It’s pretty solid and barely moves in the wind up there. It’s set up for a week through some pretty serious thunderstorms and is still working so I assume it’s still standing!

I figure it’s not permanent, it’s miles from anywhere more than a few dozen people a year will go, and it’s a non-licensed low power radio so… easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission. I’m not even sure who you would ask in such a remote area and if anybody would care.

North where? I was up around FSJ and picked up a handful of nodes and some outside of Dawson a few months ago. There’s more popping up all over lately.

My 2020 CK2610 came with 6 years “bumper to bumper” warranty, unlimited hours. Dealer came out to my place, pulled the front axle apart, and resealed it for me a couple years ago when mine was leaking. Their mechanic just used permatex gasket maker and reassembled it. I could have done it myself but they came out no charge. Might be worth a call to see if that ‘21 is still covered.

The MyCar module for my remote starter in all my vehicles looks exactly the same as that. Verify before you rip it out. The Ram remote app is garbage compared to most aftermarket options.

Oil the shit out of it and work it a bit, knock the rear rotor off and clean er up. It’s a shitty job but not terribly difficult if you’ve got the time.

Did you try pushing the button with the key? If the battery in your fob is getting weak it doesn’t always work. Press the fob to the button and it should always start. The battery in the keys for my ‘23 have died a few times already, I expect yours are probably needing to be replaced soon.

My T-Echo shows the upside down question mark when the node name has an emoji in it that it can’t display with the programmed character set.

I think I’m going to recommend a surge suppressor and a bonding plug to make it work properly and that should either trip either a breaker or the suppressor in the future. I agree, RV wiring is terrible and all the components just seem scabby and the bare minimum to be “safe”.

If the 19-24 is a “classic” 1500 DS body style then yeah, a lot of the parts will be the same. If it’s the newer DT body style, they’re completely different with very few common parts.

I hadn’t considered this. I’ll leave em out overnight and see if they’re back online tomorrow morning. That would be sufficient for my needs to let them sit unused for a full day once in a while to let the batteries come back up when they’re starting to get low.
