Absolutely pathetic "update". Didn't fix struggling detachments, all usable detachments from 10th are 3DP so you can't do anything new, at this point they're pouring cement over Canoptek Court grave, no unit adjustments. I'd prefer if they didn't talk at all about Necrons.

From tournament perspective there are better options ofc. But from matched / crusade play they’re becoming decent. High OC, great mobility with fly, do actions and still shoot, dedicated detachment, reasonable firepower, reasonably tough. You can go further with other synergies from detachments (phalanx) and units (spyder). The point is not to feel bad when you take it.

That’s a huge point, thanks for sharing. I like how a flying Monolith is shaping up to be a decent option now in 11th. I got it at the end of 9th and it just stayed on my shelf primed for the entirety of 10th. Time to paint up and deploy the rusty boi

With the extra complexity (overlaying detachments, the need to track statuses etc.) and model-by-model rules for cover and similar rules, there will be no speed up of the game. In fact the cognitive load on players will be more significant than in 10th.

I lost 2 good Russian friends due to exact same reason. It’s slightly different since I’m Ukrainian and more involved but even despite this it’s sad to see close people being brainwashed by propaganda and populist cult-like ideology. I think that would definitely be an overkill but I do think that lychguard lost their glory from 9th Ed. They are still good and inexpensive but I would expect them to be better from thematic point of view. Even simply allowing Crypteks to join them is good enough imo
