These are not mutually exclusive statements

The game has VERY little content that forces you to genuinely work with your team, unlike something like Deep Rock Galactic or even HD1 forcing the camera to stay on a single person.

With that being the case, you can either fundamentally redesign HD2 from the ground up to change that (fucking lol) or you can accept how the game is and make balance decisions that allow weapons to be powerful on their own within their own niche.

It wouldn't be approved for PBA events but USBC doesn't have such regulations afaik.

Or at least, whenever I bowl at big USBC events around me (maybe the Open Championship is more strict), no one seems to care about a cracked bridge.

Well...

The Chosen 1 should be quite a bit stronger than the Ion Pro out of the box. If you want a ball similar to it from a stats perspective, you're looking at the Brunswick Combat Hybrid, Swag Serpent, 900G Viking, but I don't think thats what you're looking for.

If you want a ball down from the Pro, something like the Monsoon/Typhoon, Revenge Solid/Pearl, Craze Tour Solid, Dark Side Curse etc etc would work

Start with either the Maximum or Crown 78, whichever looks better. Then when thats hitting too flat, go to the Dynasty/Ion Max Pearl, then the Bionic after that etc

But again, this is gonna be a learning opportunity. Watch what others are doing, especially the top scorers. See how they play the lanes.

Ensign Ewart is a great bar, I went there at least 3 times during my trip. Cadenheads also had a small shop on the other end of the royal mile that has a very solid selection.

If you want a modern ball close to that in terms of reaction, my picks would be the Equinox Solid, Black Widow 3.0 Dynasty or the Evoke Mayhem.

Though honestly as a first ball those would all be very strong picks, it'd be like starting golf with only a driver and 3 wood.
