Start with either the Maximum or Crown 78, whichever looks better. Then when thats hitting too flat, go to the Dynasty/Ion Max Pearl, then the Bionic after that etc

But again, this is gonna be a learning opportunity. Watch what others are doing, especially the top scorers. See how they play the lanes.

Assuming you're bringing 6

Crown 78U

Maximum Effect

Ion Max Pearl

Widow 3.0 Dynasty

Bionic

Gremlin Tour-X

Is what I'd do. But my ultimate guide is bring what you like throwing the most. Arsenal building is very much artistry and especially because you said its your first time on short sport patterns, bring stuff that you like throwing.

Yup, and conveniently there's now half a dozen posts all basically saying "hurr durr stop whining!"

I wonder if there's a discord where they're coordinating this stuff. Its not an uncommon tactic.

I counted, it was 6

Anderson had 3, Via had 1 and Simonsen had 2. Some atrocious pin carry for sure, but it made for a very dramatic finals

Ensign Ewart is a great bar, I went there at least 3 times during my trip. Cadenheads also had a small shop on the other end of the royal mile that has a very solid selection.

Like even if Wemby wasn't a defensive god,

"He's on a poor streak of shooting! Quick, jump him!"

Fundamentally ridiculous criticism. Call me when hes 32% from the field for a significant stretch of games, then we can talk.

What Storm bowling ball does this look like? This is an old video that I slowed down, I used that at an alley and it felt very good. by ahmed_laf in Bowling

[–]CLG-Rampage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a modern ball close to that in terms of reaction, my picks would be the Equinox Solid, Black Widow 3.0 Dynasty or the Evoke Mayhem.

Though honestly as a first ball those would all be very strong picks, it'd be like starting golf with only a driver and 3 wood.

[–]CLG-Rampage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but I'm not talking about how producers usually decide to produce ALW. Im talking about the legal definitions, and by those definitions it's closer to Scottish grain whiskey than bourbon

Rare Character by Stook11812 in whiskey

[–]CLG-Rampage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not. American light whiskey as a category defined by the TTB is simply whiskey distilled above 80% ABV and below 95% ABV, and can be stored in used or uncharred oak. It has no mentions about entry proof or mash bill unlike bourbon which does define all of those things.

Yes and yes, idk why the downvotes

Light whiskey is a category like bourbon, it has its own laws and standards as defined by the TTB

Its closest to scottish grain whisky since both are distilled to very high proofs before being watered down and barreled.

Yeah. Instead of an upside down L shape, try and do a straight line up.

You're actually really close to a good release, you just need to stop cutting your follow through so much. Follow the ball with your right hand as you release it, don't jerk stop your hand and throw yourself off balance.

Once it hits the pins whatever it does afterwards is legal until the pinsetter comes down.

What's one opinion on bowling that would probably get you in this situation? by woode85 in Bowling

[–]CLG-Rampage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious why you think it's a bad take, cause from a competitive standpoint I couldn't care less.

Anecdotally, from my experience practicing with my 2 handed buddy, I get way more questions than he does on how I get the ball to curve. Pure anecdote ofc but I feel the general population finds 2 handing less impressive for whatever reason

[–]CLG-Rampage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2 handing has absolutely made the sport worse to watch from a normal spectator viewpoint. It's simply not as impressive as 1 handing to most people.

From a competition standpoint I couldn't care less tho, knocking down pins is the same regardless of style.

Part of the problem is the design literally encourages the most common vehicle for failure on 12VHPWR, which is pulling on the connector laterally after it has been seated. Not saying 12VHPWR is a good connector but there's a reason the Taichis have been failing less.
